When I was at the club recently I was showing off the cradle mounts I made for Dave. Luke spoke up and said he wanted a set. So I thought I might as well take some pics.   Man has the cost of materials sure gone up in the last while. Oh well, it looks like this design will work out just fine. Luke is going to have a nice ride. Well as expected the front mounts were tight. A little too tight. So I brought them back to the shop and took a lick off the diameter. They also seemed to be a bit long so I adjusted accordingly. I left Luke under his car working feverishly to finish the install so he could drive to work tomorrow morning. I'm sure he'll chime in after the morning "test drive". Dave, keep this in mind when you're doing yours. I may have to tweak them for you. DG ------------- You dream it up....I'll make it |

I'll be putting the rear ones in, in about a week, the fronts probably won't go in for a long time, as their are poly ones in right now, so the difference to aluminum won't be worth the upgrade vs the difficulty of swapping them over. I agree. The advantage of aluminum mounts is they will basically last forever, where the poly units might develop some wear over time....a long time. On the other hand, a maniac like yourself may notice a difference in rigidity at the extremes. Hard to tell. My little guinea pig....I mean Luke will be in a position to give us all some feedback soon. DG

well I got to drive on some dry ground today and the car
came alive, super responsive and sure footed = lots of fun to drive. I recommend that everyone does this update to thier Fiero ------------- Lets get it sideways |

well now all the bushings are in and all I have to say
is... wow the car feels amazing! its like a must do to any 84 - 87. The car drives so confidently under full throttle conditions and minimizes movement that compounds the bumpsteer. Thanks to Dawg my ride feels like the ferrari I cant afford  ------------- Lets get it sideways |
