Hello to all .I am a new member to this site.I was lucky enough to recently purchase a 84 fiero with sbc v8 already in it.(always wanted one with a v8....)I was also able get some limited history on the car from the last owner but if anybody out there has any additional info...let me know. The car had a V8 swap by a previous owner in 2005 (Don Collison) in TERRACE,BC and then was sold to (Mike Mullins) in Kitimat,BC in 2007,who sold it at the electric car garage auction this last weekend in Penticton.Earliest owner(Mark Glazier) I have was in Coquitlam in or around 2001.I bought it at the Peach City Beach cruise in Penticton at the Collectable car and bike auction. The car runs and drives great!I am very surprised how well powered the car is with the v8,reminds me of a car I used to own which was a Nissan 240z with a v8 swap I did ,but the Fiero is way better in that it still handles well.(the nissan was nose hvy)I have thousands of $$ worth of reciepts in a thick file folder that came with the car. Will post additional info on here after I go thru all the papers.Any suggestions or help is certainly welcomed....

First suggestion...   PIC(s)!

Inside and out.

Next meet is July 10th, so you've got time to spruce it up, and make it presentable.

That should quiet the '84 haters in the club.

As might've been mentioned previously, how about a few pictures!

I hope Obeebe doesn't mind, but I found a couple of pictures from the auction site  http://www.theelectricgarage.com/auctions/vehicle_details.php?auction_id=28&id=1352 - Here .

Looking good!

I just happen to know where there is A V8 Archie 6spd conversion kit, car was converted from 6spd Archie to a 4T60 Auto because the engine had too much HP for the clutches that you can fit in the 6spd.  PM me for details and I can forward you to the correct person. Its local here on the mainland.  Trans is freshly rebuild and ready to go.

However Personally after driving a 6spd V8 Fiero several times, you have to love high rpm shifts or else you find just sing 2-4-6 for daily driving.  Ratios are too for a V8 that can be driven at 1500rpms and still have enough torque to snap your neck.  1st gear in the 6spd is only used for "liquefy tires mode", or used at the track with slicks.
