Hey  gals, it’s that time of the month  again.  No you don’t have to vote in another government election, but you do need to jump in your Fiero and cruise up together with all your Fiero Friends at this month’s West Coast Fiero’s of British Columbia club meeting.

I would like to stress, please if at all possible come to this meeting.  This is an important meeting for several reasons, June 4^th is http://www.arlington.westcoastfieros.com/ - Arlington ….  It’s right around the corner, I have posted the http://captfiero.com/arlington2011/ - detailed drive info on the site and here in email.  Please print it off so you have a copy.  As always the club pays for food for all its members. So you just need to bring yourself, your car and your appetite

Next up June 12^th is the http://westcoastfieros.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=2456&PN=1&FID=10&PR=3 - All Pontiac Show .  This is another HUGE event for the club.  It is also the final time it will be at Softball City in South Surrey.  Next year it’s going to be at the Langley Casino.  The Casino will also have a booth setup at this years all Pontiac show.  So please give them some support.  They are a big sponsor this year and going to be a huge sponsor next year.  The All Pontiac Show is a great way to take a day and relax. Park your car, setup a lawn chair in our area with our group and just kick back.  The Fiero Club always gets its own area to setup and hang out.  Lisa and I will have the club canopy there for shade for everyone. 

I have been asking for people to step up and take the bull by the horns and make stuff happen.  Damian aka Dawg has been doing an amazing job of setting up runs, but has been unable to attend those very same runs.   Last week,  we had 3 members stand up and says “LETS DO THIS”  I’d like to say a special thanks to Colby, Tristan and Harrison.  In the pouring rain, cloudy skies, risk to life and limb they jumped in their Fiero’s and raced up to Hells Gate.  It’s so nice to see young blood come up and take charge.  So I tip my hat to you guys.   If you have not seen Tristan’s write up on the run, check it out on our front page at http://www.westcoastfieros.com/ - www.westcoastfieros.com

Other topics that need to be quickly addressed are to make sure everyone knows what a GMRS radio is and has one.   Also I would like to see a list of members willing to share their cell phone numbers to be used on club runs in case of emergency’s if someone is out of range of the radios.  Side topic some people have found ways to wire their Radios into the car power so they never have to worry about radios going dead on runs.  I’d like someone to explain that.  (12v dc adapter down to 6v for most standard radios)

Does anyone think we need to hold another tech session before Arlington to get any bugs shook out of the cars before we make the run? 

          Ok I think that about covers the main chat issues at the meeting.  As usual the meeting will be at the Ricky’s on 204^th street just south of 88^th Ave in Langley.  People start arriving at the meeting around 5:45 and chat outside until a bit after 6pm then start heading inside.
