Well after some thought the time has come to put my 86 up for sale – hard decision to make as I still have plans for the car, but I just don't seem to have the time to enjoy it anymore and it is just sitting (well I am driving it to work now when it is nics out just to put some miles on it). ;)
A great deal of time and money has gone into this car to make it as it now stands. Everything works 100% as it should; there are no little problems.
All the poop:
1986 Fiero GT, 4.9l, 5 speed with custom interior based on the 4th generation Firebird, PS, PB, PW, PL, cruise control, sunroof and remote start/keyless entry. Frame is good and not rusted.
Engine: 91 Cadillac 4.9 l which includes: - new rod and main bearings - new push rods, water pump, oil pump, starter, plugs, plug wires, distributor cap and rotor and a high performance coil - steel rocker bridge installed - polished, ported and decked heads - intake polished and ported - rebuilt injectors - ECM reprogrammed for mods and swap
Transmission: - Izusu 5 speed - new bearings and seals - modified flywheel for the 4.9 application - Spec Stage 2 clutch - Spare rebuilt Izusu 5 speed with spare axles included - Spare (new) Spec clutch disc (not sure why I have this, but it is included).
Car: - new tires (stock sizes) - however the backs are a little worn. ;) - Suspension rebuilt with poly bushings (KYB shocks/struts) - new front and rear bearings - Cradle has been solid mounted (Darrell Morse Aluminum) - Darrell Morse strut bar - Battery is new and has been mounted up front (WCF aluminum tray) - New calipers, pads and all parking brake cables (these were done by GM - part of the recall) - New clutch master and slave cylinders (slave has the MR2 mod) - New windshield (PPG not the cheap China brand) - New side window dew wipes (GM NOS not aftermarket) - New trunk seal (aftermarket - Will's) - New door, trunk and ignition locks - includes 2 sets of key (NOS GM) - includes spare steering rack - other misc spare parts as well (have to go through the boxes to see what it there). What I do know:
spare 4.9 injectors/fuel rail/heads/throttle body/alternator brake booster, clutch master and slave (maybe a couple of slaves) Also includes complete 2nd generation headlight assembly (just never got around to installing it) 11.25" brake upgrade brackets (includes turned hubs and bearings) ...and I am sure some other stuff once I got through the boxes.
Interior: - F-body dash and console modified to fit – includes all working F-body controls and switches. - Clarion stereo (MP3, WMA and built in hard drive) includes the custom backlit radio mount - F-body seats (nice and comfy) - Door panels are scratched built based on the F-body style using F-body parts (modified to fit) - Compass and self dimming rear view mirror
Plus anything else I forgot.
The car great and was used as a daily driver for 2 years solid (all year, will also include extra rims with winter tires - one season on them) and has only been used off and on the last 2 years. All work done has been fully documented with picture and notes (which you can have if interested). Receipts are available from work done and all parts installed.
