Hey I'm Blair and I live in Victoria. What part of the
island are you on? If you do any driving around
Victoria/Mill Bay/Duncan you've probably seen my Fiero
before :).

Name is Don (Linlor on here) and I am in Victoria. I have two Fiero replica projects but always intersted in meeting up with other Fiero owners.
I may also get another Fiero for a driver as I might be trading my other daily driver for another project soon.....
Keep us updated if you get any more info.

Another islander here.
I'm in Duncan. I have a bit of a mixed up Fiero with a 3.4T/7730 with DIS in it. Blair, saw your car in Cow Bay a couple of days ago. Nice to see it out there.
Mine is parked for another month or two. I have to clear some boats out of the yard!

Yep, 28,000 kms since the swap and counting! I've just about finished
collecting parts for my F23 swap. I even grabbed a whole running,
driving 2000 sunfire for $400 :p. Same price as the wreckers wanted for
just a trans. I might get a cam as well but haven't decided. Any new
plans for your car this year?

Just make what I have better for now.
I have a 3.4 TDC sitting in my basement now, so I'm going to work the 3.4 to see where I can go with it, and if it blows, maybe use the 3.4TDC, maybe go 3800 (Turbo either one of course).
I messed with the wastegate before putting it away, and made some good gains.
Really, I need some disposable $$$. A set of wheels and rubber are #1. I'm going to get some long stiff angle iron and start to dial the suspension. I think it's the easiest way to get repeatable settings at the accuracy required. It's just in the planning stages though.
I want to lower it some, so I may do a weld mod to the 88 knuckles I saw on Pennocks (Allows lowering while retaining the proper camber).
I have to cull the herd around here before I really put any time into it. (3 boats, 5 cars, etc).

Hmm 3800 definitely has the better aftermarket. I just got
my turbo 3500 running in my Firebird last week and I plan
on pushing that engine pretty far :).
I might be willing to sell my Momo 16x7.5 wheels once I get
some rubber for my 18s. I only paid $200 for them so I'd
sell them for $150. Some are curbed a bit but none of them
have any problem holding air and they drive straight.
Rubber on them isn't bad but the tires are all mismatched.
They're a bit shorter than the stock 14" tire size. My
friend was able to get a 1.9 sec 60-ft. time with them
though.

I just PM him about 2 hours ago. I havnt logged on since he posted the photos.
If he still has the transmission. I might grab it. It is from a 4 speed. I would like to get the 4 speed that was mated to the V6.
Does anyone know if the 4cly 4 speed gears and such are the same in the V6 4 speeds? I could just swap the good gears and everything into the V6 case. that is if they are the same.
Iv already tore my tranny apart to find the problem im having. (broken sychro hub.) so swaping out the insides shouldn't be to bad.
|
Posted By: bcampbell

Looks like the gearing is a bit different; either closer
gearing or farther apart depending on the options. My 4-
speed will still be available but I've decided to do a few
more things while the trans is out so I won't be working on
it until March.

iv helped him work on that fiero acouple of times.
Iv actually thought about buying it because of the fastback. there is a yellow 2m4 downtown somewhere. an old friend used to own that car also.
I need to get a wheel alignment done and bleed the brakes before I go and do any cruises.

Hello All,
I'm a little late on the pick up for this subject. I currently have 3 88 fiero's in different stages of restoration. A white GT, a black GT, and a red Formula. These cars as you all know allready have a way of getting under your skin. I have had 2 of them since 96 but the white GT I could not pass by when I saw it for sale last year on Kijiji. I wanted a T-top since these cars first got my attention and this one was in good enough condition at a fair price so I was hooked. So if you guys can get a cruise date set up sometime in the next year I'll be happy to join you.

knuckle for the passanger side. And half an axel for the passanger side
also. It be cheaper to sell that car and buy another one. The repair cost
is going to be high. Check used Nanaimo and used Victoria. I bought
