Hey everybody, I bought a white notchback Fiero this weekend to gut
for Gretchin. Afterwards, anything on the car people want, they can
have for the low price of free. However, I simply don't have the time to
take things off for people. If you want it, you'll need to come get it. The
car is in great shape, however, there's a crack in the drivers sail panel,
and the master cylinder for the brakes has a bad seal, so I wouldn't
recommend either of these things. The interior is in pretty great shape
(Brown and tan coloured) and hasn't been warped by UV damage yet,
weirdly. The seats also have the headrest speakers.

I will post again when she's just a corpse, then have at her!

Finally, Man I was just thinking about you the other day. Congrats on getting back to work on the car. When you get done with it, maybe I should hire you to do the finishing touches on my 4.9, LOL. I won't even go into that story. I should be back in Canada in the middle of April and we should get in touch.

Alrighty, the notchie and the fastback go in to the ring tonight, only one
will come out alive (Hint: It's Gretchin). After that, you can all have at
her!

Dibs on the windshield!

Seriously though (if the windshield is undamaged), once the car has been picked over and gutted and about to be tossed aside like a squeezed lemon... it would be great if you and I could try removing the windshield. I need one for my project Fiero.

Might be a good excuse to pay a visit with you as well. Geez, how long has it been? You must have plenty of stories to tell by now.

I will let you both know when she's back as a husk, then we will all
gather round and gut a windshield from her. And it has been a while!
I'm almost as old as you were the last time I saw you, Pat!

If Krusty turns up as well we can make it a Timmy event.

We're all old men now then. This will be us sitting down to have our Wack-a-Chilli.

Dammit Harrison, do you have a kid now?  When the heck did that happen?

About a month ago, 2 months earlier then expected, he should still be in the womb right now.

Any progress? I'm in no hurry, just curious.  It'll be great to see Gretchin on the road again.

Today is Mr. T's Birthday, and he got Gretchen back so he is out playing tonight.

I managed to get him on the phone for a bit tonight and chatted.

So Again, Happy Birthday Mr. Romeo.

I've got socks older than that boy.

Glad to hear he got his baby back on the road. Gives him time to reacquaint himself with Gretchin before autocross starts in a month or so.

Happy Birthday Dude!

Why thank you fellows (Though I suppose technically it's
not my birthday as of three minutes ago).

Anyways, if everyone can make it, Saturday morning/day is
looking like the best day for a rip-a-part day, on my end.
Johnny Boy, Patty, let me know if that works for you.

Saturday works for me.

Will this be weather dependent?

Saturday's forecast - Cloudy with 60 percent chance of showers. Low 8. High 13.

Sunday's forecast - Sunny. Low 6. High 13.

If it's pouring rain, will it still be a go? Or would we re-schedule?

Us old guys can't be standing around in the rain getting pneumonia.

If it's raining we'll have to reschedule, can't be Sunday
or Friday though, busy both days.

Hopefully the weather plays nice.

Tristan will probably be out tom-catting all night.

I remember I used to do that, not recently mind you, but two or three (or maybe four!) decades ago.

What in the hell is tomcatting? And I work weekdays, so it would have
to be later if on Monday.

It was a fun day, and the weather held off up until we were done. There were a few things left to cannibalize, but hunger got the best of us late in the afternoon and off to Timmy's we went.

I enjoyed seeing Clynt, Johnny and Tristan again. It's been awhile.

Oh man...I wanted the rear side marker lights from the passenger side. and if the front bumper cover didn't have any spider webbing, I might have been interested.

Ken, as Tristan reported, Clynt beat you to the side marker lights.  However, the nose is still on the car. The emblem is damaged, but as I recall, the nose itself is fine.

I'll be there tomorrow (Monday). I can remove the nose for you if you think you'd want it.

Ken, it turns out the nose is completely "spider-webbed". Therefore I didn't bother removing it for you.
