Subject: 2013 Autocross Dates
Date Posted: 11 April 2013 at 1:20am
http://www.pca-cwr.org/forums/official-pca-events-and-issues/2013-autox-and-de-dates/ - PCA and BCCC have autocross dates for 2013:

May 11 - PCA (single pad)
May 19 - BCCC
June 2 - PCA
June 15 - BCCC
July 14 - PCA
Aug 17 - PCA
Sept 14 - PCA
Sept 15 - BCCC

There's still a chance they could change, but I'll update this thread if that's the case.

I haven't yet seen dates for UBCSCC, but http://www.vcmc.ca/forum/showthread.php?13094-2013-VCMC-Event-Schedule - here are the dates for VCMC .

Thanks Colby.

As much as I love the Duke (no matter how hard I push her, she comes back for more), by the end of the season I hope to be driving her successor on the track ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VRjJ_dSmKfA - with a little help from my friends ).

Have a great season guys, not sure at all if I will be able to make it out, I hope to at least once for a PCA or BCCC. I will be working most weekends now, and my car needs work and no time, let's see.

Cheers...Brian

Just so we have all the autocross dates in one list, here's the UBCSCC, PCA (Porsche), and BCCC (Corvette) dates. More UBCSCC dates are to be added for later in the summer.

Sun, May 05 - UBCSCC
Sat, May 11 - PCA
Sun, May 19 - BCCC -IMPORTANT NOTICE- This is a shortened event. Autocross will be delayed until 11 AM.
Sat, May 25 - UBCSCC
Sun, Jun 02 - PCA * double pad
Sun, Jun 09 - UBCSCC
Sat, Jun 15 - BCCC
Sun, Jul 14 - PCA * double pad
Sat, Aug 17 - PCA * double pad
Sat, Sep 14 - PCA * double pad
Sun, Sep 15 - BCCC

I've indicated * double pad on the dates that I know for sure are not single pad. More info will be added when made available.

IMPORTANT NOTICE!

The BCCC event on Sun, May 19th is not a regular autocross event.

I've been in touch with Vic Nightscales of BCCC, and he's informed me that their first event of the season (May 19th) will be modified. They are conducting some training for members of the BC Corvette Club, so their regular timed slalom will not get underway until approximately 11 AM that day on the single pad of the Justice Institute Course.

However, the same entry fee as usual ($40) will be charged for the shortened day.  Fewer runs obviously.

It needs to be made clear that non-members of BCCC will not be allowed to participate in the drills and exercises that will be taking place prior to 11 AM.

I've always quite enjoyed BCCC autocross events, as they've always made us feel quite welcome. But I'm a little perturbed as to why they now wish to exclude non-members of BCCC from a sizable portion of the day's activities on the 19th... yet expect us to pay the same fee as we normally do.

I suspect I'll be skipping this event.

I do wish the Corvette Club all sorts of fun and excitement during their drills and exercises! (and great weather)
I may look at attending the next (BCCC) one

I've been in touch with Vic Nightscales of BCCC, and he's informed me that they'll be reverting back to the usual format for their next event on Saturday, June 15th.

Good news!

Oh man, I just realized it's this coming weekend that there are TWO autocross events to attend!

I've been so involved getting this recently acquired '88 Formula rounded into shape that I've sort of lost track of time.

Where has the summer gone?

Take a trip to Aurora Oregon, highs this week are in the mid to low 30s. (92-94F) Pure Sunshine. No sign of Summer slowing down yet.

Well, I was referring more to the date rather than the weather. Can't really complain about the local temperatures.

Great!

I think Colby's got his Formula back together. He should be going. Gary will be as well. And possibly Charles from Bellingham (with his V8 powered choptop). I wonder if Harrison can make one or both days?

I plan to go to both events as long as my "new" Formula doesn't blow up at the first one.

I won't have the car lowered yet, and the wheel alignment isn't done, but nevertheless I'm looking forward to autocrossing with a 2.8 and 5-spd.

Well my transmission is back in one piece now.

We will see if I can get it all together in time for one of the days this
weekend. I'll be working on it most nights this week now that I finally
have some time to get back to it.

Anyone considering Sunday with BCCC?

What?! And Gary is saying in that topic that the BCCC event is Corvettes only... so that's two autocrosses down to none? Now I wish I had made more of an effort to attend the previous event.

If you dire for an autocross, there is a club holding one down at the Patulla Bridge Home Depot Parking lot. This weekend. I don't have any more details than that. Aside from it hosted by a jaguar club and is mainly imports that race.

Well that's no fun.

Doesn't the UBCSCC do one sometime early in the school year before the rains come back?

I can find nothing on the 'net, so I'm sorry, but I'm not prepared to camp out under the Pattullo Bridge all weekend hoping for an autocross to materialize nearby on Saturday or Sunday.

More of a chance that I'd head on down to Bellingham on http://www.chuckanutscc.org/autocross/autocross-2013 - Saturday, September 21st .
