Hey everyone!
This months meeting is coming up this weekend.
Now that summer is here we can get out and enjoy our wonderful little machines.
This month we can try to hold the meeting somewhere different rather than the usual Ricky's in Langley.
There was a suggestion to meet at Pajos fish and chips down in Richmond, or if people would prefer, we could meet in the coquitlam/Burnaby area?
So for those that plan on attending this weekend, where would you like to meet?
I plan on being there wherever we choose to hold it, but we need to decide by Friday, so there is no confusion on where to meet for anyone else.
I would like to try to plan a couple runs for this summer and hopefully a BBQ get together for everyone as well.
See you saturday

Harrison, thanks for starting this thread. Ken's suggestion to meet up in Richmond/Steveston is fine by me. Hopefully we will hear from Ken as to his availability this weekend.
Some other location would be okay as well, but yeah, let's have the club meeting west of the Fraser River this month... as we had discussed back at the start of the year. Some place with sufficient free parking (rules out Stanley Park), and some kind of food available.
The weather will be perfect. Let's bring folding chairs and have our meeting outside.

Harrison and Jordan are both nice fellas, but I hope it's more than just the three of us kicking tires in the sun on Saturday.
If you wish to spend some time early Saturday evening out in the fresh air and sunshine with other Fieroholics, speak up.
You don't need to suggest a place to meet, but if you have a favorite location in mind... now's the time to let us know.

Hi gang.
West of the Fraser River would be the ocean...or
Vancouver Island. I'm presuming you meant south.
Sorry all, something has recently come up. My schedule
has suddenly become very iffy on any events (including
vacation) this summer. If I do make it to a meeting, it
will be a call I make on the day of the meeting. I won't
know if I will make it until Saturday morning or
afternoon.
If we do decide to have a meeting on Vancouver Island,
give us at least a day's notice.
Please keep this thread up to date so I can check before
I venture out.
Thanks.

Maybe for someone in Richmond.
For anyone driving from Surrey/Langley/Abbotsford into Vancouver/Burnaby/New Westminster (which necessitates crossing the Fraser River), they'd be travelling west.

So where would we like to meet?
Not being a huge fan of fish and chips, and it bring really far, I'd vote for
something a little closer than pajos.
Market crossing in south burnaby has lots of parking and a few
restaurants?

You're probably driving the furthest. I've never been to Market Crossing in Burnaby, but if you think it would be a good destination... great!
Harrison, you're calling the shots here. You can decide on the location, and/or if more suggestions are welcome.

Let's do market crossing then. It's at the corner of marine way and
Byrne road, not far from the queensborough bridge. I'll put up a map
with an exact location tonight when I get on a computer.
South side is busier but has all the restaurants, north side has a lot
more empty parking space but only Boston pizza.

Since I have no idea how large this place is, would it help if we brought our GMRS radios (channel 20) to try and find each other?
I'm having trouble typing as I've had two glasses of champagne on an empty stomach. I'm celebrating getting my Formula back from the wilds of Dunbar. Had to leave it there last night. I'll tell you the story tomorrow!

Boston Pizza is right there as well. I'll try to remember to find some batteries and bring a GMRS anyway.

Oh, is that Market Crossing? I've driven along Marine Way and noticed how built up it's become in that area the last few years.

So, is this basically our destination? (Boston Pizza on the right, and Staples in the background.) If so, where do you have in mind roughly that we'll be meeting up... A, B, C or D ?

I had a request to post bigger pictures, but it messes with the bandwidth. But just to humour the requestor....

Just purchased and took possession of an 87 GT today with only
60,000 km on it. Had it checked out by an independent mechanic and it
passed inspection with flying colours. Had the front ball joints replaced,
some wiring replaced, all fluids flushed out and replaced.
Everything is completely stock on the car, so hoping to go the collector
plate route. Anyone know what that entails? Has some minor scratches
on passenger side and back lid. Can stuff like that be buffed out on the
plastic panels? Also in need of some new rubber as the fronts are the
originals.
Look forward to joining this forum and attending some of the meets.

Welcome to the Westcoast Fieros of BC forum. Please feel
free to look around and join in on discussions. Tell us
a bit about yourself, like where you are and whether or
not you are interested in joining the club.
This post should actually be on a separate thread in
either the Fiero spotting or members rides section. We
love pictures here so please post a picture of your car
for all here to admire.
Thanks.
