It was great to meet all of you, and it was great to be back behind the wheel of my 88GT. However I did find out that my cat converter is breaking up. I can hear large chunks rattling around at idle, and on the freeway home, I pinned the throttle to the floor running 4th gear out as long as I could then hitting 5th pinned to the floor, could not break 170kph so I KNOW something is blocking my high rpm power range. I have an MSD Digital 6 Box MSD Wires MSD Coil and decent plugs, a Big Bore Throttle Body / Intake and my fuel pressure is cranked to 50psi. Car should easily do 200kph. Looks like its time to drag out the saw-z-all and find some pipe that is the correct ID to fit the OD of the stock 88 exhaust pipe. Does anyone know off hand with the OD (Outside diameter) is of the stock 88 exhaust pipe or what the ID (Inside Diameter) of the pipe I need to buy is? ------------- Capt Fiero 88 Fiero GT 5spd V6 Eight Fifty Seven GT V8 5spd. |
