Turns out I am going to have to rush a bit to get back
on Sunday so will take the quickest route home. Will
skip the Leavenworth WA visit. Maybe we can do a club
drive there one day.

You can't check into the hotel until 3:00 so arriving
there at 2 will give us some time to explore around town
a bit.

Sounds like this would be awesome to check out. I'm on the east coast (FL) so it be a bit hard to take a ride like that.

BTW... My first ride was an 86 Fiero SE. Been looking for to get one for about a year. Finally landed an 86 GT 4 speed. Needs some TLC, but I'm excited.

Hello to irod. Hope you enjoy the car. New England's Fiero
get together is closer for you. Enjoy!   AS per stopping on
the way there, I hadn't planned on doing it, because we
stop to meet at McD's but we can see how our time goes.
Less than a week to go.......

Last year's theme was Hawaiian. There has
been no mention about it this year
except for the fact that it will be a pool
party, get together Friday night. If you
can get a couple of Hawaiian things
together like we are, I'd bring them along..REMEMBER YOUR
PASSPORT.

So those who didn't make it, maybe next
year, but it was hot, how hot you ask? It
was a hundred and eleven degrees one day.
Trip down and back was great cars ran fine
no problems at all. We met up with the
group at North Bend Washington McDonalds
at 10 o'clock, Friday morning, and left
from there. Unfortunately there was a bit
of a mix up, and Glenn got separated from
the group. I thought they were in front of
me so I tried to catch them, but found out
in the end they were behind me. We arrived
and settled into the hotel, and made our
way to the pool. Did I say it was hot? Man
was it hot! We had our get together and
party on the pool deck, till about 8
o'clock that night, and then went out for
the light exhibition in the back parking
lot. Lots of great ideas there, lots of
great lights. Some stayed up to party some
went to bed. Woke up the next morning had
a wonderful breakfast, complimentary of
the Shilo Inn. Then we proceeded down to
Jefferson Park arriving at about 930 AM.
We got parked, settled in, and started
cleaning. They needed a judge for wheels,
wheel wells, exhaust pipes and I got
volunteered. It was fun, seeing all the
different vehicles and what went into
them. We had a wonderful day with friends
new and old and had pizza for lunch. We
went back to the hotel and hit the pool
again, for some, others went on wine
tours, or museums. 6 o'clock rolled around
we all went back to Jefferson Park for
the awards ceremony and for dinner. We all
won something for going and it was great.
Dinner consisted of barbecued chicken,
ribs, delicious baked beans, salad, and
drinks. After the awards ceremony we did
our ice cream run. For those who have been
on that you know what that means. For
those who haven't, it is an accelerated
fun point, to arrive at Baskin Robbins for
ice cream and storytelling. We all made
our way back to the hotel to the guest
suite and enjoyed stories pictures drinks
and good tales. Would I go again?
Absolutely. Great fun, well planned, good
friends. Maybe next year to those who
didn't make it. Many thanks to the
organisers.

Glad you made it home safely, Glenn,

Had a great time. Some really nice Fieros, as usual. It was HOT!!!!

I'm thankful for air conditioning, swimming pools, and big bottles of Powerade available at Winco 24 hours a day for 68cents.

Pictures will be posted soon.

Yesterday on the way back, there was an accident or something
that created a 2 mile traffic jam. It took us about 90 minutes to
get through that and we still 20 miles out of Everett.   Emergency
vehicles and a helicopter were up front
and after the helicopter flew off, traffic started to move again.

As we approached Everett, a car got between Jon and I and I
realized it was a police car. I saw the top of the computer screen,
and something that looked like a light bar inside. I was not
speeding and when the police car slowed
down, I maintained my speed, but did not take off, the police car
decided we were not racing or anything and finally turned off.

I stopped at Costco for gas while Jonny decided to head home on
his home. I hope he got home safely.

Nearing Bellingham, the radio said the truck crossing was 45
minutes and Peace Arch was 15 minutes. All the cars in front of
me headed for Peace Arch.   I saw the highway overhead sign
change the truck crossing to 15 minutes so I
took the truck route.   There were about 8 other collector cars
there but the line was nowhere near even 10 minutes.   I waited
about 5 minutes. I was somewhat disappointed when all the CBA
officer asked was how long I was in the
US, and even though I had this big box in my passenger seat (I
bought a compressor from Harbor Freight), he handed me back my
passport and said have a good day.

Due to the traffic jam in highway 2, I got home around 6:30.
