Hello all,

Anyone have a exhaust shop to suggest, I have a small crack by my CAT that we found yesterday for a quick fix.

Thanks

I would be interested too.   Ya know Blair has a welder. Hmm.   Blaaaaaiiiiir, feel like doing some exhaust stuff. I have a pipe I need welded on too.   Whats your shop rate? LOL. :) Maybe an afternoon class on computers and email in trade for welding a 2" pipe.

You are going to need to replace the semi broken exhaust clamp. Just hit up CDN tire, they have them on the rack for about 3 bucks.   You have got about a 1 in 3 chance of it coming off clean, so you may have to cut it off with an angle grinder with a zip disc on it. I have one here as well.   I think your best bet though is to hit the bolts with a good impact gun first. If you are lucky the studs will snap and everything will fall off.

I'll just take it to a shop where they should have everything needed to fix it and not run around:)

I just talked to them on the phone and he said to fix your car up, it would probably be less than 50 bucks.

I've taken most of my stuff to "Muffler Man" on kingsway @ about 14th.  Nice and close for you Brian!

They do really good work and have good prices and "cough" cash options if handled daintily.

I’ve read some good reviews of "Muffler Man" on the ‘net from people who've taken their cars there. I’ve also driven by their location and seen some pretty nice cars waiting to be worked on which were obviously owned by car "enthusiasts". When I require exhaust work, I certainly plan to be checking them out.

Thanks DrFiero for the tip on the, ummm... "cash options". I wasn’t aware of that.

Hey all,

Well I went to Quiet Muffler & Brake just off Kingsway & Edmonds, and in 20 minutes I was out the door, great guys, and fair price...but the service was great.  They said yes to post their info for those who are interested...I didn't do the "cash" option...lol
