June 14 2008 - Test and Tune

What is a Test and Tune event?
A Test and Tune event is a non-competition event with a simple and short (~30s) course and limited number of drivers (45 drivers), result in maximum amount of seat time for drivers to experiment with different setups and driving styles. Time will be displayed and announced at the event, but results will not be recorded or post anywhere. You must be a VCMC member to participate.

Who should come to a Test and Tune event?
Serious Competitors – CACC Regionals, Kumho Super Challenge and Packwood National Tour are all coming up quickly, it is now a good time to get your car sorted out.
Novice Drivers – Test and Tune offers a short simple course with MANY runs for you to work on reducing those mistakes you make at your runs.
Other drivers – Try out different setups, compare different sets of tires, car swapping… only limited by your imagination.

Event Format:
45 drivers will break into 3 groups. 1 group will be working and the other two groups will be running. We will break for lunch and switch the course up for afternoon runs, and there will be some time for course walk before afternoon heats start again.

Ford Road, Harris Road and the area around the airport must be treated with respect. That means no speeding, squealing tires, burn-outs, loud music or anything that might make the general public worry for their safety or register a complaint with the facility. If anyone is caught doing this they will be BANNED from future events at this site.

Membership is required for this event:
$50 for new members ($25 event credits included!)
$50 for renewals
