I don't know about the offset, however Chris aka RedDragon in the members gallery section.  Has 18x8's with 245/40/18's on his car, which is dropped 2" all the way around.

I found this thread/diagram very helpful when I was looking for wheels.

17 x 7.5, 42mm offset

They are pretty 'tucked in' so at full lock my front tires rub a tiny bit.  Problem would be solved with a brake upgrade though

I a looking at these in 225/50/16's

http://www.falkentire.com/#/Tires/Motorsports/RT-615 - http://www.falkentire.com/#/Tires/Motorsports/RT-615

But had great replies off the Fiero Racing list on Yahoo:

Honestly? My advice aint what you want to hear. Leave it alone.
Learn how to drive for a while. Participate in at least six events
before you even ponder what the car needs. Until then, you need way
more improvement than the car does. If you buy expensive tires that
stick really good, they will mask your bad habits that ALL newbies
have. The tires will wear out way too fast. But the worst part is
that you will have developed bad habits that will be very hard to
break later. Learn how to get the most out of what you have now. By
learning on tires with less grip, you will learn how to be smooth
and not upset the car by overdriving it. Then when you get the
stickies, you will be SOOOOOOO much faster.

Sorry...

You're on the internet... If you ask for opinions, we're allowed to
give ours. I'm sure others will have a different opinion than mine.
And when you do buy the tires, Kumho & Hoosier have good DOT legal
slicks. You can find the specs for those on Tirerack. You can get
used "true" slicks that are not DOT legal for almost free. If you
want a true "street tire" that has excelent grip, the Falken Azenis
RT-615's are hard to beat. Consult your club's rule book for maximum
wheel width an diameter as well as tire compound and width. You
don't want to buy equipment that will boost you up with faster cars
where you won't be competitive.

My $0.07. (nickel fuel surcharge)

Makes sence, I would like to salvage my rims for the stock look and feel, so let's see how much it works out to...lol

Those definately look to be good track tires but that treadwear of 200 lol... Wouldn't drive on those everyday :)

Sorry can't say for sure but the diagram says it should just clear the strut/springs.. I think the fronts will rub the control arms at full lock though.  If you do pick up a set of wheels, make sure to test full suspension travel/steering lock to lock before driving so you know it clears or not.  Unless you're pretty decided on a set of wheels, I think youre better off finding wheels that fit than to use spacers.

Cool.. Im very very nervous about the stock Fiero brakes at Mission.   I had mine smoking when I was oiut there last year and I think I may have to do the Grand Am fronts before then.

I pretty much have decided to go with this package:

In Bronze: http://www.enkei.com/Performance%20specs/rsv.html - http://www.enkei.com/Performance%20specs/rsv.html

215/40/17 Falken Azenis RT-615: http://www.falkentire.com/#/Tires/Tuner/ - http://www.falkentire.com/#/Tires/Tuner/

As for brakes, I just checked mine at David's, I will be looking at doing the GA upgrade before I think also, but I don't plan on going really hard anyways.

Good to know that you have already raced Mission:)

yes and 42 offset, went with 215/45/17's, 40's were too low.
