It was the first time we've had our meeting at this particular restaurant, and the banquet room was HUGE compared to some of the places we’ve been to over the last year. If we moved a few tables there’d almost be enough room to park our cars in there!

Dawg and his wife, Damien and Michelle, were at a club meeting for the first time. Damien is a new member who is a machinist. One of the topics we were discussing at the meeting was his ability to weld and port the stock exhaust manifolds on the 2.8L engine.  What we’re hoping to do is to line up a bunch of exhaust manifolds for Damien to do at one time, sort of like a production line. That would cut down on the time required for each manifold, and since time is money, it could be done for a lower cost than if pairs of manifolds were just done on their own. We can talk about this more at the next meeting if people have questions about the procedure, or why it’s a good idea to have it done in the first place.

We also put the word out that we were looking for a place to have a tech session in November prior to our meeting that month. Glenn (fiero052) stepped up to the plate and has offered the use of his yard in Walnut Grove, which apparently is just a few blocks from our current meeting place. We’re hoping to spend the tech session "winterizing" our cars to ensure that they’ll survive the rigors of the next few months. So our thanks to Glenn for making his place available on November 14th.

Other than the fact that I won the dinner at the meeting (for the first time), I can’t think of anything else to report.  Feel free to chime in if I’ve forgotten something!

I did not get many pics from the meeting to my lack of easy mobility.  So if you got pics please feel free to post them here.

Note this aren't the best pics, but please feel free to post up what you .  It would be nice to all the wonderful cars that showed up.  We had lots of great people and lots of great cars.     So please post up more info and for the newbs post up how you liked your first meeting.

Yep, I couldn't stand with the cain and get a good smooth clean shot, so I used your sunroof glass as a make shift Tripod.  Worked good, only draw back are the only pics from your car are extreme close up shots.

That's okay, there's plenty of shots (maybe too many!) of my car in the Bondo Boys thread.

That gives me a good idea, you were at the meeting but no one really got to see your car why don't you grab your favorite one or 2 pics of the completely done and post them in the meeting pics.  Not the build pics, but the pics that would have been seen at the meeting.   I wouldn't call it cheating, just maybe fixing a photo error.

Okay, here's a shot I didn't use in the other thread. Slightly different perspective...
