So.. Why do WE get the bad rep?

   Ok.  Lets do the math.
Fieros: total production over 5 years, about 250,000
1 year of them had bad rods, and too small a pan.  Therefore ALL Fieros are crap and catch fire (cough).

Ford/Lincoln/Mercury: production of affected units over 11 years, 14,300,000 (that's right, 14.3 MILLION!).
That's 11 years of defective switches that cause...  Fires!

Do you see everyone giving every;
1995-2003 Ford Windstar; 2000-2003 Ford Excursion diesel; 1993-1997 and
1999-2003 Ford F-Super Duty diesel; 1992-2003 Ford Econoline; 1995-2002
Ford Explorer; 1995-2002 Mercury Mountaineer; 1995-1997 and 2001-2003
Ford Ranger; and 1994 Ford F35 Motorhome vehicles....  a hard time and saying "wow, I thought those all burned down!".  There's more BTW, that's just the ones I snipped out.

Pfffffft.  People.

	I think a certain level of misunderstanding and jealousy come into play. Misunderstanding from those who don't understand the logic in a two-seater sports car, and jealousy from those who do, but don't have one or can't have one.
