I have an 86 GT and when I hit the brakes, the pedal alternates in feeling
from good pressure to low. Also, the steering wheel shakes and there is a
bad rattle. My rotors dont feel warped and I just got a 4 wheel alignment.
Any help would be great

Bad rotor. Replace both front rotors.

You can't tell by eye. The warpage is way too small to see.

okay thanks. however, I did replace both front rotors last year due to the
same problem... its only been roughly 5000kms since replacing. Does that
mean that there is something wrong in the caliper or am I buying the worst
quality rotors?

It is possible that the rotors are cheap and warping easily. But most
likely it's your crazy driving....:)

Those stock brakes can only handle so much heat. Sounds like you
need to go Grand AM conversion on the fronts.

Once you do it, the parts are cheaper anyway.
