So i took my car through aircare today and I was very very impressed.
Passed with flying colours :) Thanks David for doing some tweak and tune on my car before hand, it made all the difference, I really appreciate it. |

Hopefully the drive home was a bit more fun than the drive here. I'm glad that I was able to help. I think the biggest gain is your intake is not being flooded by excess combustion chamber gasses now. Congrats and hope to see ya at the meeting.

Back on topic...
Your readings are quite a bit better than those for my '86 GT, although I passed AirCare as well recently. I hazard to guess that you have a functioning (as opposed to, in my case, gutted) catalytic converter installed?

IIRC, yes he did have a cat on the car, however it was probably burnt out or at the least several years old. From the condition of everything else I don't think the car had much more than a basic tune up done in several years. I could see new wires, rotor and cap though. The wires were from Fiero store, however the boots were too long and not letting the ends clip on correctly, I had to shorten the boots to make them fit. I moved his timing to about 14 degree's and tweaked his TPS to give it a bit more fuel. |

I think the capts right on this one the cat looks newer and since i never replaced the cat and the cars sat at my house for 5 or so years the cat probably has pretty low kms on it
