This is an exert from the club email I am writing, its by no means complete or properly proofed but I wanted to get it out into the hands of the people before the night was over, please ask any questions you might have and I will try to answer them in the morning. CAMPING, CAMPING, CAMPING Earls by the River Campground at 46171 Chilliwack Lake Rd, Chilliwack, BC V2R 4M8. July 16th 17th and 18th. July 16th is the Friday setup day. Those of you that can get away Friday night, are welcome to come out Friday. Saturday will be the big Club Picnic Day, food Friends and Fiero’s. Sunday the 18th will be the wrap up day. Rules, and Regulations are simple. There are none. Food for people on Friday and Sunday is to be provided by yourself, however Saturday the club funds will be used to supply lunch for those that come for the official club BBQ day. This is the only official club event where alcohol is allowed. So feel free to bring your coolers filled with whatever your choice of beverages are. Cost’s, Earl always says its 10 bucks a night per person, however he usually gives us a price break at the time we pay. However plan on bringing at least 10 bucks per night. I will have my big inverter along with us to supply at least some power if we need it. Cell phones are unfortunately nearly useless. I was hoping to have data connection for the laptop so we could have Internet and Email at the site, but that does not look like it will be an option. We may still use the laptop to at the least watch some car movies on Friday or Saturday night. BBQ’s, we will only be brining one small BBQ, so if you have a spare BBQ that you can bring, please bring it. Hmm, there is a river right across the road from the site so if you want to soak your feet that is an option as well.
So grab your Fiero, grab your tent, and lets have a party.

Those of you that can get away early, Lisa and I are leaving Friday at approximately noon for the Campsite. So if you want to drive out with us, be here at noon. The weather is looking good for the entire 3 days. There is also an impromptu Pick A Part trip to the wreckers on Saturday before the club BBQ starts. Any last min questions you can call my cell 604-807-2623. However at the site, Cell Phone reception is almost nil, so you may not be able to reach me once I am at the site. |

Well, it was never really made clear (I don't recall) what time the actual BBQ was going to take place. It might be best if we went to Pick-a-Part relatively early before the BBQ. Then we can sit back after we eat and have a couple of brewskies and not worry about going off and getting dirty. I haven't looked at a map yet to see where the campground is in relation to Pick-a-Part. Depending on how early you want to go poke around the wrecking yard, might it work best if I meet you there on the way out, or shall I go to the campground first and then we leave together to go strip cars?

Campground is about 10-15kms from Pick A Part maybe a 15min drive. May even be shorter than that. The BBQ will start around 1pm and run till dark.

Forgot to mention Radio's GRMS if you got em. Will be handy for the wrecking yard as well as at the camp site for those that chose to go to the river.
Also here is a list of extra gadgets that I am bringing Jumper Boxes, x 2 Assorted Coolers both For Ice and Wine Thinking I might bring a set of external Laptop Speakers with Sub for movies as well. |

Well, it might be easier if I simply go to the campground first then. Unless I hear otherwise from Tristan, perhaps I should aim to be at the campground around 10 am and we (whomever wants to go to Pick-a-Part) can figure it out from there.

Honestly Pat, I would be at the site for 8am and kick tristn a few times until he gets his but up and then sneak down to the Pick A Part. ] Let me know if you want me to bring any tools like the cordless impact and Cordles sdrills., or other stuff. I know you guys are both bringing basic hand toools.
Tristn are you still coming over here first. To drive out with me and Lisa, she will be in the Blazer with the Trailer which means my 88GT gets to tow free. I'll have 250-300lbs of electronics in teh car that slightly weight me down, but would be a good chance to see just how nuts we can go. (however with your suspension the way it is, not sure just how fast you are going to want to take your car. Either way I wil be taking leak in the 88 and keep a brisk cruise up to the site.
P.S. All Money needs to go through our Treasurer Lisa as the club has already paid for part of the site in advance and the first few people need to pay the club back for the purchase,
Can I get a quick list
Whos is Coming Friday Saturday and Sunday
Who is Coming Saturday for the day
Who is coming just for the day on Sunday.
Pleaes reply with your name and I'll get you on the list. |

It's going to take me at least an hour to get there. I don't want to be leaving here at 7 am and arriving at the campground at 8 am only to discover that Tristan is passed out in a tree.
I dunno, do you have anything that would make removing front lower control arms easier. (Maybe they're not bad, I've never removed one before.) I was thinking I might grab a couple of '85-'87 lower control arms to put on the '84 as the original '84 ones are a little different and they're responsible for making the turning radius terrible. The first time I cut sharply in the '84, I thought something was wrong with the steering (compared to the '86 and '87 that I have) as it turns so wide. Maybe Austin can bring his balljoint popper.

Usually the worst thing to get off of the lowers.... is the swaybar end link! If you can wrangle a cordless grinder with a cut-off wheel it makes it way easier. Just hack through the bolt, and call it done.
Remember to bring TWO 18mm wrenches for the big bolts. |

Hey David and Patrick, Tristan is on fire with regards to getting up early and being awesome. On an unrelated note, I also have four (Well, three and a half as I type this) Monster Energy's to bring with me. Yeah, what now? |

So Austin, are you planning to arrive at the campground around the same time as me (9-9:30 am) before Tristan and I (and whomever else might be going) head off to Pick-a-Part? [EDIT] I'll check this thread for any response before I leave at 8 am.

I don't think I'll be able to make it out quite that early. If I do i'll head to the camp site first, otherwise I'll probably see you guys at the wreckers. |

Okay, gotcha. It might be somewhat of challenge running across each other at the wreckers (large area), but we'll keep a lookout for you there if you don't go to the campground first.
