and your putting this in a fiero ..?

if so where are you planning to put the sub ?

your going to use components up front ...be ready for trimming the dash and making a plate obviously

Are you planning on putting a 4 ch amp in or running the speakers of deck power ?

What ya should do IMO is run a small mono for the woofer ..(side note ..I effin hate those woofers ) and a cheap 2 ch to run fronts and use deck to control the weak lil 4x6's ...since you only have a 2 pre outs anyways

amp cheap and decent

2 ch

pretty decent lil setup for basic money ...wiring will run ya 60-80 bucks ..plus a few odds and ends

agian imo ..i only do this for a living lol ;)

The sub will be behind the passenger seat, and im going to be making an enclusure similar to the one shown on www.fierosound.com/stereo.html  . It only requires 0.15-0.50 cu. Ft enclosure, that should be duable.  And ive decided to get good components up front and not use speakers in the rear, then power the sub and components off a 4 channel amp. And yes i know about making the components fit up front, theres a adapter plate template on fiero.nl somewhere.  Just need to find a suitable amp, which is where i need someone elses help. Im not sure what would work best. What are some good brands to look for.  And ya, i know that woofers arn't for everyone, but im not one of those guys who'll play it so loud you can hear it a mile away lol :P

edit:  updated list in first post.

Im All For The Woofer Just Not That Woofer lol

Id Would Advise Against The Type X's ..Great Speaker But You Will Never Fit Them There Huge !! I Had Type R Components And Even After Cutting The Dash like Crazy They Were Not Going ..

Im Running Kaption 5.25 Comp's Up Front And A Kaption Spl 10 In A Center Console Woofer ..No Rear Speakers

Oh, i see. Why dont you like the sub? The reviews ive seen have been good.  Thanks for the heads up bout the speakers, ill look for something else.  What is the max speaker size that will fit in there? How deep.  Think you could help me pair up a good amp/speaker/sub combo? I need help from someone who knows what will/wont fit in a fiero lol :P   Id really like to keep the sub behind the seat idea, mostly for security reasons. Less likely to get stolen if they cant see it.. But about the center console thing, 1.) where did you get the enclosure (or did you make it? If so, how?), and 2.) does it take up alot of room? How tall are you, im 6'1 and i think it'd get int he way of where my arm rests.

Also, do you know any good websites to order from, im using this one cuz the prices are good, and they ship to canada, but if you know a better one (in canada would be great, no duty fee's), please let me know.  I have a budget of $700 shipped, cost of materials not included in that. Thanks for your help.   BTW, how does that 10" sound in a fiero?  Id think that'd almost be too much in such a small space :P

I have ordered about $2000 worth of stuff from them.
They seem like a good compay and when I had a problem, they took care of it.

I would trust just about recommendations from Arun, (Nightvision) He has probably spent 20x what any of us have spent on Car audio gear. (both time, experimentation and cash)

Ya i thought bout that, guess ill look around, just the prices are better online.. On that note though, what stores are good around here.  Im also thinking about moving the spare tire to the trunk and building a bigger box up front, then porting it into the cabin, that might work. Ill see what kind of room there is, then find a sub to match the volume available.  You could still recommend a good speaker set though,  where did you get the kaption speakers you mentioned? How $$ where they?
