So we were working on doing the timing, and went to crank it over and nothing... no power in the cab none in the back....... HELP!

Right by your battery, there's a two post block where a whack of wires all terminate (the small wire off your battery goes to it).
There are (4?) fuseable links there - they look like short orange wires. If you tug on them one by one, you'll probably find one is broken. They corrode over the years, and it doesn't even take an overload to blow one. I had one go when I simply stepped on the brakes once! The current to drive all the tail lights just popped it. Your instructor can show you how to replace it/them. Make sure you use the right gauge wire to replace it though (it IS a fuse!). |

so i checked the fuseable links, there all good. theres power up to the front, so i went to check the trunk light which also didnt work anymore to test it and see if the bulb itself was burnt out. i was dragging the test light wire across the back and all of a sudden the light goes on.... wtf? so i check the battery to body ground and sure enough its broke
