Topic: Arlington 2K7 Info Posted: 27 April 2007 at 8:30pm |
I have created a basic site at http://westcoastfieros.com/arlington2k7 There is a thread on PFF http://www.fiero.nl/forum/Forum1/HTML/065071.html
Its that time of year again. Yep the HUGE Arlington Fiero Picnic is coming up quicker than you can believe. June 2nd 2007 is the date set for the show this year. Get your cars cleaned up, Cameras Charged Up and Coolers cleared out. I have lots of info to go through and lots of things need to be worked out on the website end of it. The site is currently located at http://westcoastfieros.com/arlington2k7 However here are the basic Details. The location is the Arlington Washington Ultralight Airfield. 4796 188th St NE, Arlington, WA 98223 You need to bring food and drinks for yourself and your guests. Please leave the booze at home. This is a family event, and we don't want to have to deal with any legal matters drinking booze at an airport on the airfield.
If you are coming from B.C. or anyplace North of Arlington please visit the above Webpage for details on when and where to meet us and caravan down with us. I need people to email me there name and car(s) so that I can add everyone to the list of attendee's. If you could also post here if you are coming or not that would be Awesome. I would like us to top 50 Fiero's this year. I know we can do it.
JUNE 2nd 2007 Saturday 6:15am-6:45am We will meet at the Tim Horton's just East of the Corner of HWY 10 and 152nd Street in Surrey at that time we will all check our FRS's Radio's and set all radios to channel 10 sub channel 0. We will also run GMRS Channel 20 for chat between the lead car and the tail car. If you have spare radio's please bring them as it would be nice to see a radio in every car. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE GOOD BATTERIES. Most people grab coffee and a pop while we look over the cars. Special Note, if you have Extra Radio's. Please bring them. I want to make sure that everyone gets at least one FRS and I want to equip as many cars with a GMRS radio as well. VOX IS NOT PERMITTED ON THE DRIVE. If your radio has VOX capability Please do not use it. VOX is the Voice Activated portion of some Radios. It might be great in the forest, but in a car on the highway with cabin noise, and wind and stereos they have a tendency to activate the radio and lock out anyone else from talking. 6:45 we will leave and head for the border Crossing at After we all clear customs we will regroup just across the boarder at a gas station for those that wish to fill up with the cheaper American fuel. Then I-5 and That's pretty much it till we get to 8:45am Arrive at Take exit 206 and head east about 3-4 blocks to a Food Mart there will be a grocery store where we can buy picnic supplies. There will also be a car wash close at hand.- Plan is for those that want to give there car a quick scrub to do that first off. Then head for the grocery store and get whatever they plan to bring. Buy anything you want specialty grilled IE steaks and sauces. We will then caravan to the ultra light air field for the actual picnic The picnic starts at 10am Quick info FRS Channel 10 and GMRS Channel 20 Meeting at Tim Horton's HWY 10 and 152nd Street in Surrey. 6:30am Cross Boarder at 7am need birth certificate and drivers license or passport . My cell is 1-604-807-2623 My home number is 1-604-584-7717 Note this number has changed recently please update your phone list. My email is capt@captfiero.com

Is this a better Map. I think people should be able to see where we are going. |

I just got a call from Carry in Victoria. Looks like he is going to be catching the 1pm ferry from the island over here. This is what his car looked like at the last show. ------------------ |
