I was trying to bleed it a bit to improve the clutch feel but messed it up and lost all clutch pressure. What can I do to return it to proper operation? Any input would be much appreciated. |

If you have a slanted driveway it works best, but flat will do. If you do have a slanted driveway, park it nose up.
Take the factory jack and place it under the drivers side of the car, make sure you get it lined up where the jack point is. You will feel a notch where it goes. You want the nose to be the highest point, the front will come up first when you start jacking and that is what you want. Jack it up until the front tire is totally off the ground and the rear tire is just about to come off the ground. Now open the master cylinder and fill it brim fill. (all the way up) Take a 13mm wrench, and totally remove the clutch slave bleeder screw. Put the bleeder screw aside. Take the wrench and tap the outside of the slave cylinder to get any bubbles to float to the surface. Now put everything down and go check the master to make sure it is not going empty. DON'T TOUCH THE PEDAL, DON'T TOUCH THE SLAVE ROD. Just let the fluid bleed through on its own. This will take about 15-20mins. Don't let the master get empty, you want it to be 3/4-Full at all times. Once you have let it bleed through for at least 10mins. Go back and put the slave cylinder bleeder screw in. Now go back and put the master top back on, jack the car down and jump in. Your pedal should be back to full travel on the clutch.
