Dawg’s aluminum cradle mounts

When I was at the club recently I was showing off the cradle mounts I made for Dave.  Luke spoke up and said he wanted a set.  So I thought I might as well take some pics.










Man has the cost of materials sure gone up in the last while.  Oh well, it looks like this design will work out just fine.

Luke is going to have a nice ride.

Well as expected the front mounts were tight.  A little too tight.  So I brought them back to the shop and took a lick off the diameter.  They also seemed to be a bit long so I adjusted accordingly.

I left Luke under his car working feverishly to finish the install so he could drive to work tomorrow morning.

I'm sure he'll chime in after the morning "test drive".

Dave, keep this in mind when you're doing yours.  I may have to tweak them for you.

 I'll be putting the rear ones in, in about a week, the fronts probably won't go in for a long time, as their are poly ones in right now, so the difference to aluminum won't be worth the upgrade vs the difficulty of swapping them over.   Now if I had rubber in the front that would be an entire diffrent story.

well I got to drive on some dry ground today and the car
came alive, super responsive and sure footed = lots of fun
