So I'm thinking of getting some nice exhaust tips for my 86 GT. Does anyone have something to recommend? And where do I get them from? Any special shop I should go to get the job done?

Also would new tips make any difference in the sound that the car makes, compared to how it sounds right now (which is not too bad to start with)?

Thanks guys!

Personal recomendation, is Monza style resonated tips, I belive Mopac has the best deal on them.  Gives the car a bit more of an exotic note.

So these new tips would affect the sound noticeably? In a good way, I suppose?

David: How much do you think the Monza will cost plus installation?

Brian: Yes, please post some photos! And $225 is parts and labour?

Thanks guys!

Tips will make the biggest change in exhaust noise of anything. This is why a Civic with a 5" tip (Or a Hyundai with a 5" tip) sounds absolutely god-awful.
Never shift into reverse without a back-up plan.

That's why my '94 Hyundai Elantra with a 4" tip on its fart can sounds awesome!

I wasn't talking rim, I was talking rubber. The Enkei's are wrapped in a wonderful jacket of tire.

It's not as "clean" anymore, but ask Brian which version of his GT he actually got/gets the most enjoyment from... the show car or the autocross/track car.
