Bought some Rays GRC Volk Racing rims for the car, but my lugs are too short for me to get my socket on them and snug up the rim. Went looking for lugs today (Wally, CT, Lordco and 2 specialty tire shops.) I've been told that what I'm looking for is 7x16 fine thread lugs. Lordco said they could order some special 2inch lugs in for around $1.25 a lug. I'm just surprised how hard it was to find them, which lead me to consider that perhaps they're not 7x16.

My question is.. what size are they?

*NB I'll post pics once I get them on.

They're metric 12MM * 1.5

(what they were trying to get you was 7/16" fine thread - BZZZZ - wrong!)

Try asking Lordco fro Morosso (Sp?) racing studs. They are long. You just have to specify knurl diameter and the thread you want...should be able to use 12mm or 1/2", you'd just need to get a set of nuts for the 1/2". I've used these studs with success.

I bought some open ended spline-drive lugs. They did the trick and they were only $40 w/ key after taxes.

Hey Matt, the treatment on the decklid...is that stock or is it a transplant? It looks similar to what I had on the back of my 88 Cutlas Supreme.

I've been looking to put something on the back of my Fiero fro a while to make it easier to haul golf clubs etc on it...looks like you could strap them to the spoiler etc with no problem.

Thanks,

Chay

Treatment? Do you mean the luggage rack? If so, to my knowledge that came stock on the 84-86 2M4 and the 87-88 Coupes. Everything else had spoilers. If you're looking for a luggage rack there is a red 86 2M4 at Ralph's Wreckers in Abbotsford just outside of Sumas that has the same set as me.

Well to be honest I have found a donor coupe w/ spoiler to use for my "Create a Formula" Project. Basically I'd be getting both bumpers & eggshells, rear wheel wells, spoiler, all molding, and a center console (for my subwoofer creation) for $400 delivered to my door.

But now I'm unsure how it would look. For the first time I actually kind of like the rubber pad bumpers.

Also if the opportunity shows itself and I have the money I'd LOVE to throw a 2.8 in there.

I have an 86SE and there's nothing on mine. I'll have to look for one.

Good to know they are stock items 'cause I want to do the collector thing eventually.
