Im looking at putting some 17 inch wheels on my car and i
cant decide on widths and profiles. My choice so far is 215/45/17 on the front and 225/45/17 on the back. and also what offset on the wheels should i have for 17x7.5? |

I have Enkei 17x7 with a 42 degree offset...this is pretty much for a front wheel drive car, but they fit real nice and I have 215/45/17 all around. You can stagger but why if a daily driver?...nice to be able to rotate and extend the life of your tread. I have my race set on my stock 15", and my next tread I am stepping up to 225/45/17 all around, you'll be happy with that. Offset, try to find a 35-38 degree offset, you can go 40, I am pushing it with the 42, read tire mm from the spring. |

Dave, I know you're a little excited, but you might want to post in the correct thread.

Oops, I was reading this thread but thinking about the other one. Ok I run 16x7 with a 30 or 35mm offset and frankly love it. My 245s on the back have no issue with being too close to the strut tower, and the wheels sit out of the fenders just a tiny bit. Gives it an aggressive stance. |

See, I personally like my tires to be within the bodywork.

Never shift into reverse without a back-up plan.
