2.8 v6 1986

Need help. Can't keep going to mechanics that don't know what they are
dealing with.. I have ticking sound at acceleration and popping sounds
when I let off the Gass... Please help. I will pay. I don't have time or the
tools. I'm a student and finals are around the corner for the semester.
ASAP would be great. Thanks.

Not sure if it's the manifold.. Or a leak at the connection where the pipe
to the cat meets.... It's the inner manifold.. Window side

Hello,

You can try the City Tire shop in Coquitlam. A member from here works there, and I've had a pleasant experience dealing with him regarding my headlight and very awful breaks situation at his other shop.

It is pretty common to find fire wall side manifolds that are cracked.
When you open the trunk lid after driving in the rain, water lands on this
manifold. This cools it off much too quickly. Over time they crack.

If you get it out, I can fix it.

There should be a fiber donut in there. Try just tightening the two
screws holding it together. Lots of wd-40 first.

If it's exhaust related, sure.  The cross over pipe is flared to accept the donut.  It needs to be squeezed tightly to work.
