Hello,  I am new to this site and the area.  I am interested to know of anyone who has the knowledge and capability of either rebuilding and/or installing a new(rebuilt) transmission in my 1986 SE.  thanks

Welcome. Two questions...

What area exactly?

Automatic or manual?

There is a transmission shop that Fire451 had do a re and re with rebuild on his, its roughly 112th ave and King George, I think it was $1300-$1600 to do it.  That was doing a rebuild on his 4spd, plus installing a stock clutch.  If you want a higher end clutch add about $500 to that total.

actually it was not a stock clutch, it is a sax clutch which actually grabs better then a centerforce dual friction and the shops name is Berts the price if I remember was 1200 after tax, havn't had a problem with the trans since

there info is:

13391 King George Highway, Surrey - (604) 584-9151

$1200 (after tax) for a re & re which included an aftermarket clutch and rebuilding the tranny?

That sounds pretty fair!
