First off, let me start by extending a sincere thanks to Johnny Boy and Clynt for taking me to and driving me home from the meeting. Well, today's well-populated meeting was, in all honesty, rather helter-skelter, but still very enjoyable. Although I wasn't present for the pre-meeting socializing, I'm sure there was a whole bunch of interesting things that happened. Probably including ninjas and hippopotami. However, when I did arrive, I was greeted to the sight of TONS of members. Patrick, Harrison, Damien, David, Maurine, Michelle, Lisa, Colby, John and many, many more were all present and accounted for. Of special note was the number of new members who also populated the meeting. I will allow them to introduce themselves here, but there were quite a few of them. The main topic of discussion was planning next year's events/runs. There were many proposed, and all were voted upon. During the voting phase, it was also noted that interest in tomorrow's tech session had wained, and thus was postponed indefinitely. Following the official discussion was talk of Colby's suspension issue at the moment, of which the consensus seems to be cradle bushings or rear tie rods. Last up was a discussion of tools, notably OBD-II scanners, lab scopes and turbo timers. And it was on that note that the meeting came to an end. People slowly trickled out while Patrick managed to chat with the lovely Emily. And with that, I leave you with Patty as a classy dude: |

And here are the photos. I am sorry if the photo of you was removed, some of them were just so horribly out of focus that were not even worth posting, so if you think some of these are bad, you can imagine the ones that I did turf. After all hey, I was holding a baby that was bouncing around, trying to shoot one handed in a dimly lit room. I am surprised any of them turned out. Well the engine bay shots turned out great from Harrison's car at least. If anyone wants to copy their pic and add there name to it or add a note to a pic feel free.

P.S. I want to know what happened with Patrick, and the note with the hot waitress and involvement with Tristan. Was it me, or had she pulled her top down a bit more by the end of the evening. I've seen less cleavage at strip clubs.

You should've heard the conversation I had with her after the meeting. I believe "her giving me a dance on my table" was used. lol |

Tristan, as Dave alluded to, I have something of yours that Emily found. It's your Blue Cross card and also a business card from Dr Lee. In regards to the picture of me you posted, let me clarify that the only reason I needed to borrow Clynt's glasses to read the menu was because it was so dark in the banquet room. Yep, that's it... it was so dark... and the ink was smudged on the menu.
Heck, she's the type of lady I'd be "going for" if I wasn't already in a long term relationship... and old.

You be careful what you're saying now if you ever want these items of yours back that Emily gave to me.

You should've hung around a bit longer, Tristan. She came running after
you. |

HEY NOW.
While I may feign egotism, I am realistic: She was only trying to give me my items back, not see me for the sake of it. lol |

Ken, you've got it all wrong. It was me who Emily came running up to. Right? The fact that she had a couple items of Tristan's to give to me was just a convenient excuse for her. Booyah!

I've now fixed this, the problem was actually with a rear ball joint. When I jacked up the car and pushed/pulled on rear wheels today, I noticed there was movement at the drivers side wheel. I guess it makes sense since it was at it's worst yesterday, it must have been slowly failing. I had a spare control arm so I put that in for now. |

Excellent, at least you now know what the problem is. Rodney's rear ball joints Here are $27, and if you buy any combination of 4 or more ball joints/tie rods, he takes a further 10% off. Johnny knows all about tightening loose nuts on rear ball joints if you need any guidance along those lines.

Dream on. I spent the whole day chatting with her. Did you?
Colby, glad to hear you found your problem (And that it wasn't as time-consuming as cradle bushings) |

Nah, we had nookie all night instead.
Good gawd man, why the heck would I want to talk to her all day? I'm in a relationship with someone I care about (I thought you were as well). Emily's just a nicely equipped, personable young lady who is fun to tease while we're at the restaurant. Nothing more, nothing less.

I didn't have as much movement at my wheel as in the video, maybe slightly less than what is shown when you're moving around John's passenger side wheel. I sill have the stock ball joints that are riveted in place, I guess they couldn't handle the stress from autocross. I think the problem began back in October but was so minor I hardly noticed it and just blamed it on a slightly sloppy alignment. |
