Well, today's meet was rather debate-orientated. I showed up around 5:10, but proceded to walk down to the gas station. When I got back, a Mr David proceded to tell me food was all on the house this meeting. FREE FOOD Well, this elation was stifled when I found that Tim, the Bergquists and myself were the only people in attendance. Luckily, quite a few more members showed up in relatively short order (Albeit, not enough to scarf down all the food!) 50/50 and dinner draw were both won by the same couple (Albeit, as dinner was already paid for, it will go towards next month's dinner), while Maureen, myself and Glen managed to each make off with a door prize. The meeting itself was surprisingly verbose, with volunteers for leadership, organization and video games all being discussed. I wont bore the community with the video game stuff, but the two other topics produced some interesting debates. First off was the discussion of leadership in the very probable case that David is unable to chair or indeed, even moves to Oregon. Although no real decision was made, several possible outcomes were proposed, although with the weight such a topic carries, it is best left to it's own thread. Once again, organization of events was brought up, including the most likely culprits for under attended events this year. Many ideas were brought up, but akin to the leadership discussion, nothing concrete was decided. After all that was brought up, discussed to death, weighed in, and then discussed some more, topics switched to the possibility of a club phone list. Although the consensus at the meet was a resounding no, it'd be nice to possibly get everyone else's opinion on the matter. While everyone else met up to continue socializing in the lot, I actually couldn't stay around for those talks, so perhaps another member could fill us in on any interesting diiscussions there. |

Sorry, wished I could've attended. But set building, dress rehearsals, and kid's piano recital conspired to have Fiero club meetings take a lower priority.
This is what David and Lisa have to look forward to in the not to distant future. I'll try to make the January meeting. Cheers. Ken And if I don't get to speak with many of you between now and then, Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, Happy Hannukah, and any other celebration you intend on having the next few weeks. |

Yeah, David said you couldn't walk. I told him, "He should've just driven instead!" |
