Its that time of year again. Yep the HUGE Arlington Fiero Picnic is coming up quicker than you can believe. June 7nd 2008 is the date set for the show this year. Get your cars cleaned up, Cameras Charged Up and Coolers cleared out.
I have lots of info to go through and lots of things need to be worked out on the website end of it. The site is currently located at Arlington 2008 Website To get you even more Fired up, here is a Video made by Steve Simpson from last years shows. Kickin Video of Arlington 2007 However here are the basic Details. The location is the Arlington Washington Ultralight Airfield. 4796 188th St NE, Arlington, WA 98223 Jet City Fiero's is providing the grounds, and the BBQ's as well as the Crane to take overhead pics of the cars. You need to bring food and drinks for yourself and your guests. Please leave the booze at home. This is a family event, and we don't want to have to deal with any legal matters drinking booze at an airport on the airfield. 10am till whenever we decide to call it quits, usually around 4pm. This is a great Fiero event, with lots and lots of cars every year. If you are coming from B.C. or anyplace North of Arlington please visit the above Web page for details on when and where to meet us and caravan down with us. I need people to email me there name and car(s) so that I can add everyone to the list of attendee's. There is a link for form submittal or you can email me directly at capt@captfiero.com If you could also post here if you are coming or not that would be Awesome. The more people see that people are coming the more people want to come and we end up lots more people. Its Great!! I would like us to top 60 Fiero's this year. I know we can do it. There are a lot more pics from last year, (375 to be exact) however here is a teaser. Map |

I was just down in Washington state last weekend. We stopped off at the new Costco and Target at Marysville (just south of Arlington).
So there are alternative places to get food now other than the grocery store we've been going to every year. |

I think we actually went to the Safeway in Arlington last year. With the exchange rate the way it is, its going to cost the club far less to feed everyone.
We do need people to speak up on if they are coming so we have an idea of money we need exchanged to buy food for everyone. |

At the very least, check all your fluids, tires, and such.
Pop off your dist cap, take a look at your pickup coil and see what kind of condition it is in. I will bring a spare dist shaft with good module and pickup coil with me just in case anyone needs it. |

Hi All, Currently after my meeting today with the event I have here for 4000 people on June 8th, it is not looking good for both June 7th & 8th to attend...I am not happy to say the least. So, my role for helping with the food aspect for June 7th, let's please look at whom can assist in my absence. I really won't know until that week how things look, so if I can squeeze one of the days in, I'll advise. Cheers, Brian |

Ouch that hurts. Probably not as much as Blair's ankle right now, but.... Well Brian, sounds like you need to kick a few of your assistants in the bum and get them working. Tell them you have another banquet that you need to organize. LOL. You, Kirsten and your car will be missed.
Talk to ya soon.

Hello everyone, Things are turning up for Kerstin and I to attend, in saying this...for the BBQ and shopping, this is how the plan will go:). Menu: Hot dog, Hamburger, Snacks (chips, etc.), and Bottled Water only. I see no reason why the club should be out of pocket for personal beverages, etc...too many paticular tastes, if someone has an issue with this please advise. Not only will we all have storage issues, there really is only so much room...my truck will be full, so who will have space for all this?...good questions right:). The main goal...we will all stop and determine whom can help with trunk space for all this product...but I will be in and out in 30 Minutes!. So during this SHORT time, if you want to buy a Bavarian or veggie burger due to your diet, then go for it...don't forget your beverage. Once this is done, we all leave together and maximize our time at the airport, not in a grocery store...ask Kerstin how I am when we go shopping:). * I need a confirmation on that morning of how many people, and for me...I hate waste, I will take a order of who will have a hamburger and/or a hot dog * I will have to buy the plates, napkins, and cutlery as I am not sure I can take these products accross the border...again that alone will take me 1 minutes in the grocery store isle. This is not complicated and I want us all to enjoy our driving time and what we spend at the show with everyone...no more 2 hours of shopping. Thank you everyone, need to get back to work:). Brian |

Hi everyone... For any who may think my post was too direct...sorry, was in work mode:)...and with how busy I am currently, have no time to waste:). The main point that I was trying to get accross as we all agreed was minimizing our time when we all stop for the grocery run, just trying to make this more efficient...we'll make sure everyone is taken care of and bottom line...enjoy this day:). Cheers all...Brian |

I like that thought. Get in ,get out, have fun. Spend as little time at the store as possible. Go have fun at site. As for what food we take, I'm good with basics. |

Yep...sounds good to me, I am happy to help. If its a hot day, I would say water is more important that the food. I seem to recall that some of us got some mild sun stroke last year. Don't for get the "slip, slop, slap" routine. FieroZen |
