Well I got the Red Beast back last Friday and it is running great. The thing is a rocket which led me to think about getting it dyno tested. Are there any places on the lower mainland where I can get it tested? Any recommendations. If this weekend is nice I'll take a set of photos of it and post them on the build thread.

There are a couple places in Langley. I can't remember the names though. I am sure someone on here remembers them.

mopac on 200th around 80th ave Langley has a dyno facility but i think its costly customers who pay can get before and after data with new parts installed by mpoac but call them to find out the true picture My contact their is Bruce Marcel |

Anyone know what the hourly charge is at Mopac? I have a couple that I wouldn't mind tuning on a dyno when I have time. And are they instrumented to take all different numbers of cylinders, or limited to the usual 4-6-8? |

I've got 6 and 8 that I might want to dynotune, but also one old 12 cylinder and I wasn't sure whether they'd be able to read it - they need to be able to read RPM to do their tests. I guess they can read such things as Viper V-10s and such, but the V-12 I have has 2 distributors and it operates each bank independently, almost like a couple of straight 6 cylinder engines that just happen to work off a common crankshaft. I want to nail down the total advance I can use without problem on pump premium, and the easiest way to do that is on a dyno. |
