All in all it was a fun 3 days. We got a really late start on Friday we were suppose to be on the road by 4pm and that got pushed back to 5:30 then stuck in the massive traffic on the way out, we did not make it to the site till 7pm. Then once we got there we found out the camp guide guy had told Ken the wrong place to go, and Ken had already UN-packed his car, set his tent up and was starting to cook dinner. So he had to tear it all down to move. I did my best to help him haul it all over to the new site. The site we had was HUGE, we could have had 30 Fiero's and still lots of room left over. Yep there was a massive torrential downpour of rain on Saturday, everyone was racing around trying to get food and electronics put away. Just standing 10 seconds in the rain that heavy and you were soaked top to bottom, the BBQ got it so bad, that we had to fight to get the water logged burners to re-light. However the one night of rain, sure did not ruin the rest of the time out there. We had a blast, kicking back relaxing, I was on a Percocet Psychosis, so nothing really bothered me. As a matter of fact, I slept in to nearly 1pm Saturday. Tim was the shuttle man, driving up to the local store at least twice a day for fresh coffee and other related stuff. Drove Lisa down to the grocery store to get more food as we pretty much ate all the food we brought up, by Saturday afternoon, and needed something for dinner. All in all, it was a great weekend.
Ok Here are the pics.

This must be related to the image I saw of you with your knee in a brace of some sort. What happened?

Pulled the MCL in my right knee. Really put a damper on my fun.
Clip from my build thread, http://www.westcoastfieros.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=103 1&PN=1&TPN=6 A miss step walking away from my personal computer, (actually I think it reached up and bit me because I was not staying to play.) Resulted in me stumbling, falling and twisting my knee. It hurt like hell but its not the first time I have done this, I carefully got myself up and proceeded to just limp my way around. By 8pm Lisa was trying to do the whole nurse doctor thing, and noted my right foot was colder than the other foot. Thats when we realized my knee had swollen up really bad, then my ankle and foot had joined the swelling. As soon as she found the lack of circulation, that was it, she was going to take me to the hospital. 5hrs later and a dozen x-rays, the MCL in my right knee is shot, I'm in an 18" long leg/knee brace, with crutches. A prescription for Percocet and suppose to be off my feet for 5 days. I basically told the dock, how bout 3 days, I'll wear the knee/leg brace all the time, and some light driving. He agreed. |

Ah, I missed that last post. Sorry to hear you've damaged yourself. I know what it's like to tear up a knee. No fun. It makes getting around a real chore.

For those of you reading this via email, please go back to the thread I have included all the pics in the top post. You will need to open the thread to see them.
For all the rest, just scroll to the top. OK and to make Pat happy, I squished it down to 3 wide rather than my normal 5 wide.

Hah, I don't believe that for a second. I'm just the only one that bothers to speak up about it.

Tristan patiently waiting... (and thinking about the young babes that Nigel promised would be joining them for a brewski on the weekend) and waiting... and waiting...

I thought I looked all deep and sophisticated in that picture. Like the guy who sits by a window sill staring aimlessly in a 3-star romance movie.

Ouch that hurt my eyes, I went in and changed my reseloution down to 1024x768 I can't see how anyone in modern day computing could even find that usable. I just changed it back to the normal 1680x1050 and am much more comfortable. Maybe if you were on an ancient 15" CRT it would be alright, but 1024x768 on a 22" wide screen LCD looks horrid.

Well of course 1024x768 looks lousy on your LCD monitor as that isn't it's native resolution. I'd compare the picture quality of my 21" Trinitron CRT monitor to your LCD monitor anytime, Dave. It's a recognized fact that LCD monitors aren't necessarily the cat's meow when it comes to sharpness and image quality.

Or hungover. What's with all the layers of clothes? Wasn't it warm out there on the weekend?
