Curious as to why not to Whistler?...it is only rated as
one of the top 10 drives in the World

Sorry - I meant I am going but it's not just to see
Whistler. :-P

Well the weather forecast keeps getting better and better, now there is little to no chance of rain in the morning or during the day Saturday. Lots of sunny breaks.  This is going to be perfect driving weather, not too hot, not to cold, just PERFECT.  So guys and gals, get your cars, and let ROLL.

Westbound and Down.

Since we're waiting 'til 10am before we even get started, I vote we're ready to roll on the highway at 10 and not piddling around while everyone buys gas. I think people have plenty of time to fuel up before we meet.

However, that's just my opinion.

Ok Patric so my map broke it, I removed the map and just placed a link.  Not nearly as cool looking, but I guess function over form.

Ok I revised the map again, this time I may have went a bit overboard.  It has a min by min itenary of our trip, all the stops, durations of said stops both on the way up and the way down.  It also includes the times Lisa and I will be leaving my house down to the min.  It includes the Port O Cove Stop the Shannan Falls stop.  I figure 30mins is enough time at Port O Cover and 1hr on the return trip is enogh for Shannan Falls. And 4hrs for Whistler.  We can stay longer and or leave early, these are just estimated numbers so people have an idea.  For Lisa and I its a 300+ KM run, so if I fill up in Surrey I should not have any problem making it there and back on a single tank of gas.

Check out my totally cool amazing map.

Everything is good here, I stripped out all the extra weight I could from the car, however trying to decide if I should remove the 2nd battery or leave it in.  I am thinking I might want to overfill the oil by an extra litre just to be on the safe side in case I do any extended high rpm stretches through the corners.

See ya all in little over an hour.  I'll be at the McDonalds around 9:15-9:30 ish.
