It looks like we won't be able to decide at the last second whether we want to go or not:

Ya, I am not feeling so great so I will pass on this one, I have also my step-son's birthday the night before so I may not be in the greatest shape.

I would suggest going, great group with UBC...

I had a look over there and it looks like they might need this $10 CACC thing.  Any provisions to buy it on-site?

Get better soon!

Apparently Yes Allan...Larry or James would be the ones to ask...why, you thinking on going?.

My concern is the morning after a UFC fight mixed with son's Bday...lol

The VCMC membership was supposed to include it. I think that's why you had to include things like your drivers license number, etc.

I'm not sure yet if I want to stand out in the rain all day.

UBC is the same Colby...your initial membership fee includes the first event.

Honestly, VCMC was not that bad last weekend...but UBC is a little cheaper and have the same members pretty much.

Man, Colby, Pat and Tristan are becoming autox Monsters...glad I won't be alone holding all these memberships...what will happen guys, every weekend pretty much you will be out at Pitt Meadows:)

Actually I was referring to the CACC license.

Someone asked in the topic on the UBCSCC forum whether the license requirement could be waived for your first event and the answer was yes.

Colby and I (well, I guess we all sort of did) discussed this in the other thread. The way I've interpreted things, we've already paid for the CACC license when we paid the $50 prior to the VCMC event.

Allan, do you not interpret it that way?

Colby, it seems to me from what I can decipher that a $50 membership with the VCMC Motorsport Club covers/"includes" the $10 membership with CACC.

-------------------------------------------------------

From Here:

Membership is required for this event (and includes CACC membership). Don't forget that signing up now gives you next year's membership as well!

$50 for new members (free event included!)
$50 for current members and renewals

Memberships available on Karelo here

I won't be going to this one. I've participated in three autocrosses in the last month and a half. The mighty duke needs a rest.

Speaking from experience?

My comment was in regards to reduced flexibility as we get older and the rather limited, ummm... wiggle room within a Fiero, nothing more.

Remember that old expression...

I'm not as good as I once was, but I'm as good once as I ever was.

It's really difficult, not enough room.

As to the racing, I guess I'll have to play around with Gretchin now that I've been told the pick-ups arn't allowed. I guess it'll help inspire me to fix that F&(<ing alternator...

My sentiments exactly, and I hate it when people stop to watch and applaud.

Mel and I get that alot.

Might not be able to go on Sunday if Gretchin continues to act like a complete bitch. She's currently stuck in a parking lot in New West, with a short so bad it will stall out the car and bring it to being completely dead within seconds. Going to go bandaid fix it (See: Daisy chain in auxillary battery) to get her home, then we'll see if she's in working condition for autocross. If anyone has any other suggestions, feel free to phone. I'm off in the mean time.
