3800 manifolds

   Has anyone used a 3800 na with stock exhaust manifolds in a Fiero with a 4 speed manual. I have run into a problem with clearence on the shifter cable bracket. Cables will not connect to the brackets on the gear box. Stock 3800 cross over pipe is in the way for cables to connect. If anyone has any info or suggestions on this it would be great.
