Hey club! I had a question regarding the Fiero's scan-tool. Namely, does it fit most OBD-I GMs? I ask because the big block Sierra (1991 454ci V8) apparently has a hard-start issue, which would be easier to diagnose when I know what's wrong. I don't want to buy a scan-tool for one vehicle, but I would consider it for two. Thanks! |

Probably out of gas. Good gawd, a 454 in a big heavy truck. Got shares in PetroCan?

Thanks Doc, just wanted to make sure before I went tool shopping again. And no, it's something pertaining to the wiring, but I'd like to get a feel for what circuit to look at before I start ripping everything apart. And hey, at least it's a fuel-injected big block. Should make double digit mileage... Hopefully... |

I think my hi-performance big block '67 ChevelleSS396 got around 12 mpg. However, with cheap gas back then (1976-77) and a relatively large tank, it didn't matter. |

I'll just leave the tailgate down. Problem = Solved. I should pull 30MPG with that much aerodynamic wizardry.

All your coil packs would slide out the back.

No coil packs on that brute, distributor still. And as much as I hate TBI, it is awesome to see how much fuel gets sprayed to keep up with that thing. Just huge cones of fuel. lol |

Pfft. They've been known to make mistakes. I know, for example, that tonneau covers improve fuel economy, which are based upon the same principle. Regardless, the canopy kinda makes this whole discussion a moot point. |
