I picked up an 84 base coupe as part of a package deal with an 85 se. it's a parts car, I don't know if it runs, the interior is shot but the body doesn't look horrible, it is missing the headlights though. the tail lights aren't craked at all and other than being dirty they look to be in good shape. It definitely has some useable parts if anyone wants it. It is located in metchosin outside if victoria, it will have to be towed. 100$ if nobody wants it, it will be scraped next weekend . I don't want to scrap it if someone can use it.

On the island makes it a bit of a nightmare for me, but just to let me sleep, could you look at the RPO sticker and see if its an MY8 or M19 listed. The MY8 is the RPO for a 3.32 Ratio 4spd. It has the highest gear ratio of all the Fiero Trans-axles. Gives lower freeway rpms than even the Isuzu 5spd or Getrag 5spd. Even comes close to the 6spd's. Its not really a drop in as the case is too weak for high horsepower motors. (I blew up several on a 200hp V6) But I have been trying to locate a replacement for years then take the time to tear out the guys and put them into a later 4spd case to make an indestructible 4spd to use on a V8. I would hate to see it go to scrap if it is indeed a 3.32. If its an M19 it is the "Drag Race" trans, and horrible for anything but city driving for 1/4 mile drag racing. 100kph is nearly 4000rpms on an M19 as it has 4.10 rear gears.

It's an M19. If anyone needs any random pieces let me know and I can pull it out. I don't want to tear anything major out, but if it's easy to remove I can look into it. As it is, it will be going to the scrap this sunday. I don't mind shipping small stuff out or holding on to some pieces until someone comes out to the island, I live in a condo so I don't have a heck of alot of room to store stuff.

I mean to reply to this a few days ago, but caught up with the daughter and my engine swap. Well the M19 is useless to me, but if someone wants to make a stock V6 go lock a rocket, but does not plan to do much driving over 120kph is would be fine. Rolling start in 1st gear with the M19 you can still light the tires up and bark them into 2nd and sometimes even 3rd gear. In town fuel economy actually improves a bit as the engine does not have to work hard to drive normally, but suffers at speeds over 100kph. Uses all the V6 bolt on parts and you are ready to go. I would put the Trans up on Craigslist for between 50-and 100 bucks. I sold my last M19 to an elderly gentleman that wanted a fun car for inner city commutes, he is in love with the snap get up and go. But admits the few freeway trips he took the car spent most of its time around 4000rpms. IIRC an M19 can take nearly a full second off the quarter mile time of a stock V6 Fiero.
