   I just received an email from a friend who works at the Weyerhauser Veneer plant on Annacis Island.   Sounds like it's hard work, but the pay sounds pretty good and since it's a defined job, little stress.  So if you're willing to put in some effort, and are looking for a job, you should check it out. 

There having hard time trying to get workers, big sign on the front side of the road near the plant Entry $18.65 starting and fully experienced $29.+.
Last year we fired all over new hires and the spares and only got a few back. Quite a few guys when on long term disability and some quitting for new careers.
Half the new guys we hired have already quit, it's not a easy job pulling veneer in a noisy, dusty place with 12 day/night shifts.
