Save your pennies, and get a reconditioned one from the Fiero Store.
Or - learn how to do work with urethane, and fix what you have! Yes, the latter is the better option. :) |

Okay suggestions how to make it lay flat rather than dipped in like that? I know how it happened, there was a front end collision and the energy absorber broke off. I put the energy absorber back on but its still dipped :( |

The nose is urethane - it's a sort-of thermo set plastic.
You can TRY heating it up, while supporting the back slightly prone (higher than it should be) with many sticks (etc) - then let it cool off, THEN remove the supports. Cheesy method: You can roughen up the backside with 40 grit, and epoxy braces (aka popsicle sticks etc) onto the back. Problem with that, is that if someone leans on the nose hard even, they'll all break off and you're back at square one. |

Talk to the guys at Corvette Specialties and see if they can send it out for you and have it done. There is a place locally that the reconditioning of flexible body panels. They wont deal with the general public, only through a lisc body shop. We had one done through Corvette Specialties and it turned out better than new. We had the entire car in the shop so they handled all the paperwork, but I would still go in and talk to them about what the cost would be if you brought the nose in to them and handed it to them.
P.S. for the record, there is nothing illegal about driving a Fiero with the nose missing. Just got to get creative with the lisc plate mounting brackets. Ok well it might be a grey area, seeing as you would remove the low speed impact support from under the nose, but frankly I don't think anyone would hassle you about it. |
