I need help here, im getting frusterated.  You can read everything over here at pennocks, but ill sum it up.

Basically, im installing an XM radio, im trying to hide the wires. Ive run the antenna wires. For the power it plugs into the cigarette lighter spot, but i dont like that. So what i did was buy a 3 plug adapter that is under the dash. Im trying to power it off of the radio's power, i THOUGHT i found the power and ground for the radio, i used my multimeter and when i touched both of them, it read 12.4V, but im now thinking those were for the speakers (which, as i write this, doesn't make sense.. it shouldn't read 12V if they go to the speakers..).  So anywho, i wired the 3plug adapter into the red+black wires on the back of the radio (both power and ground) (2 wires below the antenna input). The radio is really staticy, and i hear a click sound every time the cassette turns inside (cassette is the audio input from the XM radio.  I took off the wires i spliced in, but its still staticy, and i still hear the clicking sound. It wasn't like this before, and i didn't mess with any other wires besides those 2.  Another issue im having is that i cant eject the cassette, is there another way i can get it out?

Well the only input I can offer is regarding the power for the system. If you really need to get power for the 3 prong outlet the best place to grab the power from is the power window harness in the center console. Its much heaver gauge wire and it backed up by a circuit breaker. I have the 3 outlet power adapter under my dash and just ran the wires to the power window switch's. Its nice as it turns on with the car and off with the car. I have my radar detector plugged into it as well as the inverter and my bluetooth GPS charger.
