Check this site out:
********************

Decodes your VIN, and comes back with a complete RPO (option) list for your particular car!
Click on 'home' after, and check out all the other things under research, and under diagrams.

I can't believe it's all free!
(might want to print out/save any juicy bits for future reference)

              ***************************

Regrettably, Compnine has closed it's doors forever.
I hope someone heeded my words and saved at lease some if not all of it!

That is pretty damn gnarley. Excellent find, Doc.

that is a super cool site! there's only one other fiero that matches my option list. that's pretty neat. anybody know what the "heavy duty cooling" option is? V08COOLING SYSTEM,HEAVY DUTY HVY DUTY CLG(V08)
there only seems to be 361 of them for the '84, just wondering what it has that the normal one doesn't.

When I do a search on my '84, I get the following...

Quote There are 1 1984 FIERO 2 DR vehicles (0.026%) matching your exact options list. There are 1 (0.026%) with at least as many options.

I interpret that as saying my '84 Fiero is the only one with at least these, or the exact same options.

One of the RPO codes listed for my '84 is ZG6... only 62 out of 3,857 84's came with this particular option, whatever it is.

Neither of my cars worked. How do you tell the difference on a VIN if something is an i or a 1 (letter i or number 1)?

What position is it?  A typical fiero VIN reads: 1G2PE11R2HP241234
There are no "I's" in there.

If I'm not mistaken, there are no 'i' digits in any VIN.

The vin from my 88 worked.

The rarest option on my list was the 85 amp generator, only 89 matches out of 423 88 GTs

My 88 worked, although no build date and it shows one of 423 matching year and model - that would be Canadian GTs - anyone know what the serial number range was for these GTs?

Shows as one of 143 with the sound system with subwoofer, one of 59 with the interior package, and one of 36 cars done in the dark red metallic.  Says the combination is a one off, butthat doesn't mean much.  Surprised there were so few painted in the dark red.

Interesting.

My Solstice is one of 82 to Canada.

Manual trans in the Fiero = 61%

Manual trans in Solstice = 29% - the buying public are becomeing more 'shiftless'!

1988 3.2 turbo Fiero

1957 3.4 in Jamaican MG

2009 2.0 Pontiac GXP coupe

This is what I got back.

"There are 3 1986 FIERO SE 2 DR vehicles (0.153%) matching
your exact options list. There are 3 (0.153%) with at least
as many options."

Sweet find Doc!
