Ok so the last message I sent, had me trying to step down as club head guru. Well at January's meeting I asked for people to take my spot and several members stepped up and said “NO” you can’t leave, we won’t let you leave. LOL. They also had a great alternative, thanks to Damian for explaining it. The club duties would basically be taken away from me, so all I would have to do is watch over it and kinda be a figurehead. Here is how the breakdown goes. Speaking at the meetings. Would be 1st person, Me. 2nd Alternate is Glenn 3rd Alternate is Damian and 4th Alternate is Tristan Tristan is taking care of the Pre meeting emails and reminders as well as the Post meeting wrap up letters. Damian is now taking care of organizing the club events, and making sure everyone is on the right page. Glenn will be a new face at the sign in table. Taking the load off of Lisa so she is not trying to do 3 things at once. Colby will be your Go To guy when it comes to the Autocross racing information. He is at almost all of the meetings and will have all the info for you. David |

I think the changes will work out just fine.
People tend to appreciate clubs more when they're more involved. So I would encourage anyone with ideas and some time to help, to do so. As the Events coordinator I'll try and get the jump on all the events well before they happen. I'll dig up any info needed and pass it along. I'll make up a printable PDF file with a map and details for everyone. Unfortunately, our car is not long for this world. Yes, it needs an engine. As one can imagine, this takes some wind from our sails so to speak. So we probably won't be doing any runs ourselves for a while. So each run ideally would have someone who's willing to lead a little on the day. Someone who is familiar with the route or has been to the places listed on the run. This doesn't mean you need to lead the pack. You just need to serve as a rallying point. I'll contact individuals as need be. Cheers. The Dawg |
