OK here are the pics I have, and I'll upload the HD video shortly. 2mins 30 seconds, of Fiero Awards total size 80mb. Lisa took 90% of the pics, as I spent most of the day answering questions for people about the Fiero's. OK pics |

I like how by fluke (it wasn't planned at all!) that almost all the notchies
went red/white/red/white and almost all the fastbacks went black/red/black/red! |

Edit to add, http://www.captfiero.com/061409allpontiacpics then browse to the Videos folder, you might have to do a "save as" function to grab the videos. Let me know if anyone else has problems with the low res video's audio. From the sounds of it, Dr's video is much more professionally done. So you might just want to watch his, but seeing as I had this, I tossed it up anyway. High res is in Quicktime .mov format Low res is in mpeg4 format. |

It was fun spending several hours socializing with all of you (and with complete strangers). Thanks guys for posting the videos and pictures. I've got some shots to upload as well, but I need to re-size them first. Did anyone shoot video footage of John Carlo getting his second award? It would be a real shame if THAT particular moment wasn't captured on video. That was the highlight of the day bar none! (What's the name of Clynt's dog? [EDIT] Thanks Dave, got it.)

The dogs name was Sam, and as far as I know, everyone stopped video taping as soon as the last Fiero award class had been done. No one even Car-2-Lo expected his car to bring home an award in a 2nd catagory. So it was a nice suprise for everyone.
Another side note, the Fiero's made up nearly 20% of the entire show. |

We were all so caught by surprise that I don't think anyone was really paying attention to the name of the award at that point. John was so stunned by the announcement that his feet were stuck to the ground. I had to give him a nudge to get him headed towards the awards presenter. I've got a great shot of John returning with the second award though!

Here's the images I shot at the show. If anyone would like an uncropped, unprocessed, non-resized copy of an original shot, just send me an email.
I was trying to get a shot of Gina through all the open windows, but Marcel insisted on getting his butt in the way!
Clynt and his bud, Sam.
Clynt and Sam awaiting the presentation of the awards.
This shot was taken a split second after John was named as one of the winners in the "Fastback Fiero" category. Being named as a winner hadn't registered with John yet, but Clynt is already giving him a congratulatory look.
This is Nigel telling Clynt and John how some naughty boys were making fun of his legs.
I love this next shot. You've got to know the story behind it to appreciate it. After the awards were given out in the two Fiero categories, we all just sort of relaxed and awaited the end of the presentations. We were all quite pleasantly surprised when John Carlo was named as one of two winners in the "Restoration in Progress" category (open to all cars at the show). John was so stunned by his name being called out for a totally unexpected second award that he didn't move to go accept it until I literally pushed him to get going. John, being the emotional guy he is, started crying as he was being presented with the award. (I love Italian people!) As he was walking back towards us with his second award, I had my camera at the ready. So here's John walking back with head bowed and tears in his eyes, and loving wife Gina looking at John with heartfelt concern. Priceless!
And da winners... John, "Shakey" Dave, Graeme, Ken, and Hugh. Congratulations guys!

Thanks Dave. How about if instead of reposting all these images again at Pennock's that I simply start up a thread there (with perhaps a "teaser" picture and some basic info) and then supply a link to this thread? [EDIT] Okay, the link to the Pennock's thread is Here.

I hope Mike doesn't mind that I've copied and posted his video clip links here from the other thread just to make them a bit easier to find.
