Gigabyte 6600GT 128mb. Would be better than the 7300Le but not buy a whole bunch.
According to a quick search of bench marks I'd say that the 6600GT would be maybe 100% faster or more. As it's about 70% faster than the 7300 GS TC To give you a better perspective. With an AMD64 3000+ 2 GB of Dual Channel 6600GT 128mb 7200rpm Sata Hd I can play Half-life2 and Battlefield 2, Most Wanted, WarHammer40K, Unreal3 on maxed graphics at about 60-70fps with dips to 20fps on the low and 100+fps on the high. I even played Bioshock on medium settings and it ran smoothly. I couldn't even touch Crysis though, unless the graphics were right turned down. I had a Zalman fan on it with hacker drivers and over clocked speeds. But it always run at about 27 degrees at idle and 58 at peak. I've since sold the Zalman, so you'd need to address that. I'll sell it to you for $25, it comes in the original packaging w/ all software and cables. I'm also selling a 3200+ 939 if that would be an upgrade for you? I'd throw it in if you've got a 3000+. If you're looking to spend more money, check out craigslist. http://vancouver.en.craigslist.ca/sys/770994316.html http://vancouver.en.craigslist.ca/sys/768125931.html http://vancouver.en.craigslist.ca/sys/762880834.html http://vancouver.en.craigslist.ca/sys/737559493.html http://vancouver.en.craigslist.ca/sys/721801171.html Edited by Matt |

I need to relocate my sub, we could chat for an exchange, of course I may have to give you some money in return:). The card would be maybe $50, you can call me to discuss if interested at 778-836-4806. With me racing now, I have to move the box in the passenger footbed more for space for gear and other than my wife, the ones who take a ride and need to foot space...lol |

Passenger footbed, nice box built many years ago, has a MTX 10". I would like to keep it in the same area as I have seen guys with the speaker built in, then the carpet and a grill...or center consile but I really don't want to loose what little storage we have:). I realize that I may have to purchase a shallow sub for the footbed install, hence the additional money's I would invest:)...any suggestions? For the card, what are you using it for?...Matt sent great links to some nice cards with a decent price to them. My card will do the job, but I can easily pay for the sub work, let's make sure you get the right card for your purpose. Matt...the card rocks:)...don't hate me too much, I paid a hefty dollar for that card:( Here's the card details: http://ati.amd.com/products/RadeonX1950/index.html And a pic of the sub:http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u243/Bassman68/PIC00022.j pg

Is that the Thermaltake set on the CPU and Vid?
What temps does your system run? I run Zalman. (Copper on the vid and cpu and heatsink on the chipset.) I've also got 8 80mm ball bearing fans. My whole computer heats up 10 degrees if I open the case. |
