Great, a democratic president. You think it's bad now, just wait. Not the outcome many wanted and certainly not the better choice for Canada as a whole. Oh well, they say it's all coming to an end December 21, 2012 anyways....

That's where I'm at as well. I respect them both, but I think Republicans would be better for Canada.

Dam Brian ...I thought it was December 26th, 2012. % days less that what I had planned fore. Yes...Canada may come off worse - we will see. Change can be a good thing, yet often travels outside of people's comfort zones. Globally...the finances are in a mess, and common folk around the World are struggling. The guy with what's considered the most influential job in the World - now has a Global responsability, and I get the sense that he truly knows it by his speech. Maybe the historic events of today will be what America needs to transition from a rebellious teenager into the start of respectable adulthood as a nation. Good Luck

Unfortunately we don't always get a second chance. I just hope, for sake of our nation that any damage that is caused is repairable.
My experience lends me to believe that a$$hole teenagers become a$$hole adults. But I do think America in general wants a change and is eagerly looking for a charismatic J.F.K.-like figure to drive home the basic ideals that America believes it was founded on. Which is somewhat ironic considering most of those values are currently held by the Republican elect rather than the Democratic. What with the disintegration of Western Civilizations grasp of fundamental morality as a whole. My ramblings asside, one thing is certain, the new leader of America needs our prayers. |
