Ok first things first, we need a list of who is going?  So please reply to this post to let us know you are going.

Details

Meet at the McDonalds at 103rd Ave and 152nd Street in Surrey at 8am.  We will leave the Mc Donalds at 8:45am.  FRS channel 20 sub 00 and head for Abbotsford, stopping at the Whatcom road exit that is just south of Abbotsford, same exit as the Castle Fun Park.  We are going to fuel up at the Petro Canada, then get back on Trans Canada and head for the Air Tram at Hells Gate.   We might make one or 2 Pit Stops along the way if people need to stop to check cars, potty breaks or let people catch up.  SO please have your radio's on.  In the event of an un-planned stop, it is very important for the lead car to announce it on the radio multiple times as well as if you are in the middle to try and relay it back to the people in the back.

When we arrive at Hells gate, we will all park in the lower section along the cement highway dividers and back in.  This makes for the best group shots.   There is gold panning, ice cream, gift shop and all sorts of related stuff to do down there, some people take the time to go across the steel bridge and do photos and such.

We will probably stay there for 2hrs or so, and then make our way back to the cars.   Once we leave Hells gate we will head north towards Boston Bar and look for a place to eat and relax.  There is a "greasy spoon" style place up there that we stopped at last year and I think a few people expressed interest in stopping there again.

When we eat, we will decide if we want to take the old Lougheed Hwy back through Mission.  There is a set of Twisty roads that are a blast to run at speed.

Once back in the Fraser Valley we can decide if we want to stop as a group and have dinner then discuss the run and chat about who did what.

So let's get this started, please reply here with all your enthusiasm that you can muster.

Anyone know when we plan to be back? I just might be able to make it if we get back early enough.

4 cars and 5 members showed up. We changed the Hells Gate run into a lower mainland adventure, which included a few trail walks, rapids, lakes and out to lunch at a 50's restaurant. It was a most enjoyable day.

Damn, wish I coulda been with you guys. Sadly, family came in for my birthday and I couldn't think of a nice way of telling them I was abandonning them for a road trip.

When you get a little older young fella, you'll have no problem.

Belated happy 20th!

Hey, I might be more than 2 1/2 times older than you, but that doesn't mean I've necessarily gone senile.

It wasn't that long ago you told me you were 19, or have you forgotten?
