I'm not sure I like the way he did his. Look closely at the pictures and it appears as though the end link is hanging WAY lower than it needs to.
If it was me, I would find a way to tuck things up more. Other than that, it's really something I should get to doing on our car. DG |

Sorry I have not been feeling well the last couple days or I would have caught that. Yes when I did the rear bar install I skipped the spacer tube all together and just stacked 2 bushings spaced by one washer in the back and it worked fine. Kept the end links up high.
Its too there is no way to do it like on the 88 cradle, where the bar mounts above the cradle instead of below it. Trust me I have tried to figure a way to do it above, however it would require a totally custom made bar which defeats the whole idea of keeping it cheap and easy. |

A lot of fellows at Pennock's have mounted the bar so that the bow is to the front of the cradle, as is done with the aftermarket bar. There are certain advantages to mounting the bar in this manner. Clearing the exhaust is done I believe by simply putting relatively thin spacers between the brackets for the bow and where they mount. I'd like to hear in this thread from club members who've done this front to rear sway bar relocation and find out which way they've mounted it... bow of the bar to the front, or bow of the bar to the back? This is a great mod we should all be doing to our Fieros. Makes quite a difference with the handling. And it's cheap as well! Possibly this could be yet another idea for a tech day session. Just line up all the Fieros and do them in an assembly line fashion.

I mounted mine the same way David and John did, and to raise the
end links I just got ride of the spacer tube ( as David did) |

Nope just use mushroom head bolts with the threads coming down rather than going up. You may need to remove the E-Brake cables though to initially install the bolts.
