Did you just loosen, or totally undo the rear sway bar?

It's WAY easier to totally undo it (not remove it - just yank the end links right off),  then you can twist the knuckle around and get it all lined up easier.

Going to assume you had this in before, and didn't just do the conversion?

I dont have a rear sway bar, and this has not been on the
car before this is the first time it has been installed.

Doubly whammy....  ok....

Looking at the picture you posted - that's the passenger side (I hope!) right?

Anyhow - the knuckle is just twisted.  If you can't just move it so it's more upright, try loosening off the bottom bolt (the big ass long one that goes fore/aft).  You might try sticking a giant screwdriver though the strut bolt holes to make it easier to move.

(oh yeah - made your link clickable)

Yeah - driver - was just looking at the t-stat cap, and thinking V6.
Wanted to make sure the 88 conversion kit got installed the right way around!

Ok sorry, apparently i was way too veg. Its a 4.9 v8 with a
4speed, and the pic was the drivers side (both). I had the
4.9 on the 88 cradle outside the car, and had the
suspension together, and what is this knuckle your talking
about? Also it was very late and i was tired, may have just
made a stupid mistake... Would you like more pics?

Knuckle - the doo-da that the strut bolts to.

It still just looks like the top is kicked too far towards the back.

After you've got it all snugged in place, I'd loosen all the bolts and give it all a jiggle.  Then torque them all to spec.

So the top of my spring is not flush to the adapter, it
doesnt look right. Plus when i have it all together the
strut is not parallel to the lip on the adapter, they are
off about 10 or so degrees.
