Is anybody using snow tires this winter? I'm looking for a
set and I was wondering what sizes you're using. I will be
using the "honeycomb" 15x7 wheels

I've had snowies on since I got the car. Michelin alpins I believe.
205/60R15 all around stock black lace rims.

Don't forget, studded winter tires mean no 40KM/H test at AirCare as well.

Never shift into reverse without a back-up plan.

In the old days.....winter tires were the poor boys way to get good racing tires.  The compounds are softer and really do grab better.

An hour with the vice grips and all those pesky studs were gone.  Then it's 15 minutes on some back road to fry off half the thread and it's off to the track!  Oh and we would use an angle grinder to take off the protruding side thread so we weren't too embarrassed....:)

In certain applications, vibration can be a good thing.

I run 195/70/14 Firestone Winter Fire snow tires on all 4 corners of my 88GT during the winter, it works great.  I also have 4 studded snow tires that get passed around between Tims, Shirley's and Lisa's Fiero's.  Plus 2 other non studded snow tires.  Currently Tim has the studded tires on his car, as he failed the drive test at Aircare, but passed the idle test.  With studs on you don't have to do  the dyno test, just the idle test.  So he should be fine now.
